Wendy Winks is a film and TV producer, and also founded the Rock School Scholarship Fund (aka Ovation Music Fund), the first 501(c)3 charity to provide scholarships for low income children who wanted to attend any rock music school in the USA. Before it closed at the end of 2017, the charity provided scholarship services to 127 music schools in 28 states, and helped over 1,000 low income children receive a premiere music education experience.
As a producer and literary manager, her clients have written several movies for Hallmark and Disney, most notably "Camp Rock," for the Disney Channel, and she's also produced two successful family films. Prior to starting her production company in 2001, A Wink And A Nod Productions, she was SVP Network Development & Marketing at Television.com, a destination for everything about TV. She also held various marketing executive positions at Universal Studios, including Sr. Director of Corporate Partnerships, where she managed the studio's
relationship with Kodak and Discover Financial Services, and ran the Universal Studio credit card business. As Director of Marketing in Universal's Home Entertainment division, she made release decisions for their catalog product of over 3500 films. Winks holds an
MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University.
