A born and bred Tar Heel, Wood grew up in North Carolina & received a
BA in Performance Studies from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. Her love of musical theatre began in high school and
continues as she appears on stage in productions in Los Angeles. She
was in the world premiere of "Evel Knievel the Rock Opera" in Los
Angeles, which was nominated by the L.A. Weekly for Musical of the Year
and received the honor of 3rd Best Production of 2007. Wood portrayed
the hysterical character Jeanine in the Los Angeles World Premiere of
Wendy McLeod's "Schoolgirl Figure." She is a member of The Troubadour
Theatre Company & appeared in their productions of "As U2 Like It" &
"It's a Stevie Wonderful Life."
She was a featured dancer beside Richard Simmons in his "Party Off the Pounds" DVD. Kim also appeared as the comedic Internet sensation "Totally Rad Dances with Dancin' Kim," teaching popular 80's dances.
Wood has also been featured in many independent films, commercials, and music videos.
