Megyn Kelly Insists She’s “Still a Journalist” While Explaining Endorsement of Donald Trump
Image
Former network news anchor Megyn Kelly defended her on-stage endorsement of President Donald Trump during his re-election campaign and insisted that she is still a journalist but now exists in a “new world” of podcasting where journalistic ethics don’t apply in an interview in the New York Times on Monday.

Kelly, 54, has been hosting a news, opinion and commentary podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, since 2020 after a career in law and journalism that led her to massive success as a Fox News anchor with a weeknight news show, The Kelly File. But the former TV news personality’s accusations against former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and a hard-hitting question for Donald Trump at a 2016 election cycle debate led to her exit from the conservative outlet and to NBC News, where she signed a lucrative contract, but famously lost the gig after multiple on-air snafus.

The popular podcaster candidly...

Image
In honor of World Ms Day on Tuesday, May 30, Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean took to Twitter to share an uplifting video about her battle with multiple sclerosis. “I wanted to, you know, let you know that Ms really doesn’t present itself in a lot of ways,” Dean said in the video. “I call it the ‘invisible illness,’ the ‘My, you look so well’ disease because we can be looking fine, I got my hair and makeup done, but inside of us, our body is attacking its central nervous system, the brain, and the spine.” Dean, who serves as co-host and weather anchor on Fox & Friends, was diagnosed with Ms in 2005. As she said in the video, she has been open about her battle with Ms from the start, sharing her therapies and challenges over almost two decades. “Yesterday, I felt almost like a sunburn sensation at the back of my neck.

Image
Anthony Fauci blasted Tucker Carlson after the Fox host, questioning the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine, told viewers that “maybe it doesn’t work, and they’re just not telling you that.”

In an appearance on CNN on Wednesday, Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, said, “That’s just a typical crazy conspiracy theory. Why would we not tell people if it doesn’t work?” He pointed to the “overwhelming data” that the three vaccines that have been approved for emergency use, with tens of thousands of people in a clinical trial “with an overwhelming signal of efficacy. ‘The View’ Co-Host Meghan McCain Decries “Identity Politics”, A Cuomo Accuser Weighs In & Fox News Channel’s Janice Dean Chooses Sides
Image
Although The View co-host – and outspoken critic of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo – Meghan McCain apologized this week for having dismissed as irrelevant Donald Trump’s racist nicknames for Covid-19, she hasn’t backtracked on her disdain for what she calls “identity politics,” a stance that today prompted a rather sideways Twitter exchange with Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan.

Before it was over – if it is over – Fox News Channel senior meteorologist Janice Dean also weighed in. As Boylan said in one of her tweets, there’s a lot to unpack here, so here goes:

On today’s episode of The View, the hosts were discussing Asian-American representation (or lack thereof) within the Biden Administration, specifically about demands being made by Democratic senator Tammy Duckworth for greater diversity.

While most of the cohosts sided with Duckworth, the conservative McCain, not surprisingly, did not. McCain warned about a “slippery slope”of placing...

Chris Cuomo Addresses CNN Coverage Of Sexual Harassment Allegations Against His Brother
Image
As a third accuser came forward with allegations of unwanted advances against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, his brother Chris Cuomo addressed the issue as he opened his CNN show on Monday night.

“Before we start tonight, let me say something that I am sure very obvious to you who watch my show, and thank you for that. You are straight with me. I will be straight with you,” Chris Cuomo said. “Obviously, I am aware of what is going on with my brother, and obviously, I cannot cover it because he is my brother. Now of course CNN has to cover it. They have covered it extensively and they will continue to do so. I have always cared very deeply about these issues, and profoundly so. I just want to tell you that. There’s a lot of news that goes on also, so let’s get after that.

"Laverne & Shirley" David L. Lander 1978
Following the death of actor David Lander, several people across the industry shared their warm memories of the “Laverne & Shirley” actor and multiple sclerosis activist.

“David Rest Soundly… you have earned your peace,” Henry Winkler tweeted.

“Oh man. He made me and so many laugh,” John Stamos tweeted in response to Winkler’s message. “When I was a kid Henry, I used to sneak on the lot and watch you guys rehearse, then go next door and catch Laverne and Shirley rehearsing (and argue over lines) and I remember watching David and [Michael McKean] just riff and riff. #Ripdavid.”

Kevin Smith also remembered Lander for his impact on the “Clerks” filmmaker’s childhood.

“This funny man made my childhood happier with his work on ‘Laverne & Shirley’ and his guest appearance on @TheSimpsons as himself still makes me laugh today,” Smith tweeted. “Rest In Peace David, and thank you:...

Megyn Kelly in Megyn Kelly Presents (2016)
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly and former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien sparred on Twitter Monday after Kelly defended Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean’s criticism of New York State’s response to the coronavirus.

It all began Saturday when Dean tweeted a response to an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci in which he said New York handled the pandemic “correctly.” Dean posted, “This is garbage.” She followed that up with a tweet on the state’s death tolls: “Sorry Dr. Fauci. 32,000 deaths. 6,000 seniors? Nope.”

O’Brien shared Dean’s original tweet, captioning it, “Meteorologist weighs in.”

‘Morning Joe’ Suggests Nikki Haley Is Angling for VP With Trump Praise, Advises Mike Pence to ‘Duck’
The hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” think former ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley is gunning for Vice President Mike Pence’s job — and President Donald Trump is going to give it to her.

On Tuesday morning, “Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski played a clip of Haley promoting her book on sister network NBC, where she told “Today” host Savannah Guthrie she never doubted Trump’s mental acuity and always found him “truthful.”

‘Bombshell’: For Sexual Misconduct Drama, Subjects Violated NDAs to Speak With Filmmakers
Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, and Margot Robbie in Bombshell (2019)
“Bombshell” offers two familiar faces in its retelling of the downfall of Fox News founder Roger Ailes — Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson. According to director Jay Roach, however, some onscreen fiction was needed in order to portray the true story of the wave of sexual harassment allegations that led to Ailes’ 2016 resignation. Roach, writer Charles Randolph, Theron, Kidman, and Margot Robbie spoke about making the film, due out December 20 from Lionsgate, during an early screening Sunday night, one of the first public showings of the movie.

“We had an obligation to really capture it authentically,” said Roach, who also directed the 2016 election drama “Game Change,” during the Q&a. “One of the things I have done in my other contemporary history films is go deep into actually interviewing real people, not just for authenticity … but also in details you get.”

Mika Brzezinski
Mika Brzezinski failed to appear on “Morning Joe” Thursday with co-host Joe Scarborough making sure to note at the top of the show that it was due to a pre-planned family event.

“She’ll be back with us tomorrow,” he added, before moving on to introduce the usual show regulars. Scarborough really wanted to let “Morning Joe” viewers know about this family event — so much so that he mentioned it again in the show’s second hour.

If you were to ask, "What happened to Janice Dean?" you'd have to be more specific! Fox News' senior meteorologist, who has worked for the cable news network since 2004, hasn't had an easy life in recent years. And yet she's still dutifully showing up on TV, giving each day's weather report with a smile on her face. Just this January, for example, she got a rude comment from a Facebook commenter. "Dear Janice, please stop allowing Fox to dress you in those short skirts," the viewer wrote. "They are not flattering on you. "Fox doesn't dress me. I dress myself," she told this Internet troll. "I'm sorry if you don't like my legs. I'm grateful I have them to walk with.
