Kelly, 54, has been hosting a news, opinion and commentary podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, since 2020 after a career in law and journalism that led her to massive success as a Fox News anchor with a weeknight news show, The Kelly File. But the former TV news personality’s accusations against former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and a hard-hitting question for Donald Trump at a 2016 election cycle debate led to her exit from the conservative outlet and to NBC News, where she signed a lucrative contract, but famously lost the gig after multiple on-air snafus.

Move over, Rockefeller Center — there’s a new Christmas tree taking over the town.

This week, Fox News Media will host its own Christmas tree lightning ceremony for the fifth straight year, one that includes prominent Fox News personalities and a performance from singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw.

The Christmas tree at Fox Square includes 18,000 ornaments and 340,000 true white, warm white and red lights. The “All-American Christmas Tree” stands 50 feet tall and includes a six-foot topper with 4,800 embedded lights. The tree was produced by lightning and display company American Christmas, based in Mout Vernon, New York.

During the special, co-hosts from the hit Fox News show “The Five” will discuss their favorite holiday memories and traditions in front of a live audience. Fox Weather meteorologist Bob Van Dillen became the story on Friday when, during a live broadcast, he rescued a woman endangered by flooding from Hurricane Helene.

While reporting on the storm conditions in Atlanta, Van Dillen pointed out a nearby vehicle that had gotten trapped in the rising floodwaters, and the driver could be heard yelling for help. As seen in the video below, Van Dillen initially told viewers that he had contacted the authorities, and the fire department was said to be on their way to help the unnamed woman.

Christmas is history, but there’s still some holiday celebrating to be done. New Year’s Eve festivities are being broadcast across the country Sunday, December 31 from Puerto Rico to Los Angeles to the famous Times Square ball drop in New York City.

The official Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration will kick off at 6 p.m. Et with the lighting and raising of the nearly six-ton crystal ball atop One Times Square. Performers this year include Enrique Iglesias, Maroon5, Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker and Rod Stewart. The ball drop begins at exactly 11:59 p.m. and makes a 60-second descent down the pole to ring in 2024.

Anthony Fauci blasted Tucker Carlson after the Fox host, questioning the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine, told viewers that “maybe it doesn’t work, and they’re just not telling you that.”

In an appearance on CNN on Wednesday, Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, said, “That’s just a typical crazy conspiracy theory. Why would we not tell people if it doesn’t work?” He pointed to the “overwhelming data” that the three vaccines that have been approved for emergency use, with tens of thousands of people in a clinical trial “with an overwhelming signal of efficacy. Heather Childers was ousted by Fox News after being benched for appearing visibly sick in March, when shows at the network were still operating out of studios in Midtown Manhattan but the coronavirus pandemic was picking up steam.

“Fox News and Heather Childers have parted ways. We wish her all the best,” said a representative for Fox News, confirming the split first reported by CNN.

Childers, who hosted the early-morning “Fox & Friends First,” hasn’t appeared on-air since March. She confirmed on Twitter that month, “Last day I was on I mentioned I had gone to a [doctor] to make sure I had no fever or cough of concern after coughing & sneezing on air. Never went to work feeling sick. I sent those results showing no temp or cough. Was then told Covid19 test would most helpful.”

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly and former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien sparred on Twitter Monday after Kelly defended Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean’s criticism of New York State’s response to the coronavirus.

It all began Saturday when Dean tweeted a response to an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci in which he said New York handled the pandemic “correctly.” Dean posted, “This is garbage.” She followed that up with a tweet on the state’s death tolls: “Sorry Dr. Fauci. 32,000 deaths. 6,000 seniors? Nope.”

O’Brien shared Dean’s original tweet, captioning it, “Meteorologist weighs in.”

The hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” think former ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley is gunning for Vice President Mike Pence’s job — and President Donald Trump is going to give it to her.

On Tuesday morning, “Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski played a clip of Haley promoting her book on sister network NBC, where she told “Today” host Savannah Guthrie she never doubted Trump’s mental acuity and always found him “truthful.”

“I have one word for Mike Pence,” Joe Scarborough said when the clip concluded. “My friend, duck.”

According to director Jay Roach, however, some onscreen fiction was needed in order to portray the true story of the wave of sexual harassment allegations that led to Ailes’ 2016 resignation. Roach, writer Charles Randolph, Theron, Kidman, and Margot Robbie spoke about making the film, due out December 20 from Lionsgate, during an early screening Sunday night, one of the first public showings of the movie.

“We had an obligation to really capture it authentically,” said Roach, who also directed the 2016 election drama “Game Change,” during the Q&a. “One of the things I have done in my other contemporary history films is go deep into actually interviewing real people, not just for authenticity … but also in details you get.”

Mika Brzezinski failed to appear on “Morning Joe” Thursday with co-host Joe Scarborough making sure to note at the top of the show that it was due to a pre-planned family event.

“Mika has the day with her family, a long planned family event,” Scarborough said. “She’s sorry she’s not here, cause we’re going to be talking about baseball most of the morning.”

“She’ll be back with us tomorrow,” he added, before moving on to introduce the usual show regulars. Scarborough really wanted to let “Morning Joe” viewers know about this family event — so much so that he mentioned it again in the show’s second hour.

The meteorologist, who has multiple sclerosis, shared the viewer’s note and her own response on her Facebook page on Monday night.

“I’m sorry if you don’t like my legs. I’m grateful I have them to walk with,” Dean responded. “You’re right. I don’t look like the typical person on TV, and I’m proud to be a size 10. Imagine that! You can always turn the channel if you’re offended by my huge legs.”

Fox News Channel’s Senior Meteorologist Janice Dean says she “was nervous” for her return to television on Monday after undergoing a new type of cosmetic surgery that left her with horrible side effects. “I think it went very well,” Dean told TheWrap of her return to Fox News’ morning show. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive after sharing my story.
