- He and Bill Essex had been living together almost 12 years before they married on Valentine's Day on February 14, 2019 at San Francisco City Hall, California.
- He worked as a nude model for Colt magazine and used the names "Ledermeister" and/or "Leidermesiter".
- He had played the piano regularly at Most Holy Redeemer Church and at the Castro Senior Center in San Francisco, California.
- His voice gave him the ability to speak in 6 or more dialects that he used while acting on stage.
- He studied at the University of Maine and when he moved to California he worked for Pacific Telephone and AT&T for 25 years.
- His passions were acting, exercising, photography, needlepoint, collecting stamps, religious iconography, and playing the flute and piano at the Castro Senior Center.
- He served honorably in the Army and was stationed in Bremerhaven, Germany. While there, he became fluent in German and was involved in the local theatre group thus continuing his life long love of acting and theatre which began at Arlington High School.
- Few months after his death, a memorial service was held at St. Agnes church in Arlington on July 23, 2021 and interment followed at St. Paul Cemetery, also in Arlington, Massachusetts, with an Army Honor's Guard.
