Alan Lowrie grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania without any aspirations to be an actor. It was during his studies at Rutgers University where he developed a passion for film and acting - becoming a frequent collaborator with student filmmakers at Rutgers' Mason Gross School of the Arts. After graduating with a degree in English, Alan moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
Alan joined the Beverly Hills Playhouse in their Orientation Scene Study class in November, 2023. After just six months, he was moved up to their Intermediate Scene Study class - the fastest promotion in the school's 40+ year history.
Training at the Playhouse has fueled his passion for storytelling, whether it be a grounded drama or a silly comedy, Alan's passion is to collaborate and serve the writer's story the best way he can.
