Tiffany Black is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, but has spent her adult life living in Los Angeles and Atlanta. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communication from The Florida State University and holds a certificate in professional acting from AMDA and a certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University. She went on to study acting with Tasha Smith, Lesly Kahn, Jemal McNeil, and Diana Castle's The Imagined Life.
Black recently starred opposite Kate Hudson in festival darling, Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon (2021). Black's most notable performance stemmed from Own's Love Is_ (2018), which would also become the foundation for her origin for her relationship with Mara Brock Akil. Black became an inaugural alum for Brock's Writer Colony and had a project in development with Story 27 Productions.
Black began her acting career in college and landed her first role on Spike TV's 1000 Ways to Die (2008). She began writing short films to demo her acting in 2011. She is now a member of SAG-Aftra and an associate member of the WGA.
She teaches acting at the Tasha Smith Actor Workshop. She's a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and loves to mentor young actresses.
