Sons of Anarchy, Season 1, Episode 1“Pilot”
Directed by Allen Coulter and Michael Dinner
Written by Kurt Sutter
Aired September 3rd, 2008
It was about time that television tackled the inner workings of an outlaw biker gang. Honestly, it’s rather shocking that it took so long. Kurt Sutter certainly knew what he was doing when he created Sons of Anarchy. The idea was innovative, a bit outlandish and bold — just what the doctor ordered.
The ‘FX’ crime drama, soon to be in its 7th and final season, follows the trials and misfortunes of a central California based motorcycle club aptly christened ‘Sons of Anarchy’. The pilot episode introduces Jackson “Jax” Teller (Charlie Hunnam), the vice-president and son of the deceased founder of the Mc as he is about to become a father himself. Tensions rise as a rival gang, The Mayans, attempt to foil the Sons’ operation and run them out of the local gun business.

Once a massive primetime star thanks to his heroic talking car in "Knight Rider" and then camp hero thanks to buxom heroine lifeguards in "Baywatch," David Hasselhoff has, over time, made the career-elongating transition from legitimate draw to B-style television to straight up self-parody. Some might argue that his time patrolling the waves was, at least by the end, an exercise in self-awareness and winking all by itself, but regardless of the exact moment of meta changeover, The Hoff is now, undoubtedly, always The Hoff.
Following a rough end to his gimmicky presence on "America's Got Talent," Hasselhoff has now signed on to what sounds like a perfect bit of self-parody: according to TVGuide, Hasselhoff will be playing Dondo, a former porn star turned girl-on-girl skin flick director.
Whether the boys of Sam Crow will appreciate his presence in their Charming, California, is a whole other question, the answer to...

Of all the pre-Oscars awards shows, the Golden Globes is certainly the one most people have heard of. A yearly summit of political machinations, backstabbing and (probably) payola, a sketchy group of Spaniards and Frenchmen dole out paperweights to stars looking for another opportunity to self-aggrandize and talk about their charity work. Hey, if these guys aren't going to recognize the artistic achievement that is Burlesque, who will?
This year's simulcast was no better or worse than every other year's - a mixture of boneheaded choices as well as a few Holy Cow Good For Them moments where quality actually got recognized.
Host Ricky Gervais kicked things off with a lame Charlie Sheen joke that sent everyone directly to the bar to brace themselves for the sixteen hour affair. Gervais continued to channel Don Rickles and make insult gags all night. When he disappeared from the stage for a little while,...

Sons Of Anarchy: Complete Season One
Stars: Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Mark Boone Jr., Kim Coates, Tommy Flanagan, Johnny Lewis, Maggie Siff, Ron Perlman | Created by Kurt Sutter
Sons of Anarchy is one of those shows that all my friends raved about, but never really appealed to me – I appreciate a good motorbike, who doesn’t – but when a show is described as “The Sopranos on Wheels” it doesn’t really inspire (yes I’ll admit it, I’m not a fan of The Sopranos). However when the chance to review the first season DVD boxset arose I thought I’d put my prejudices aside and give it a go… And oh my god, am I glad I did!
Set in Charming, California (you have to appreciate a town called Charming being run by a motorcycle gang that are anything but), Sons of Anarchy is a present day retelling...

Sam Crow kicked some major Nielsen ass Wednesday night.
FX's "Sons of Anarchy" kicked off its second season in a spectacular fashion, earning 4.3 million viewers and a 2.8 in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen.
That's up 95 percent from the motorcycle drama's first season premiere and a gain of roughly 75 percent above the show's season one average.
The numbers were particularly jaw-dropping among men 18-49. "Soa" was seen by 1.96 million young men, the biggest number of any basic cable broadcast this year ...

Yes, you read that headline correctly.
When Sons of Anarchy drama returns next month, Sam Crow will assist Otto's old lady, Luann, run her adult movie business. This will lead to a series of half-nude girls hanging around to entertain the fellas.
According to E! News, one of the characters, a seemingly sweet single mom, will make a move on on Opie; while another, aggressive actress wants Jax (pictured) for herself. Tara's reaction to this?
You'll have to tune in to believe it.

After the rebirth of badass biker films with ‘Hell Ride’, FX announced ‘Sons of Anarchy’ which is a show based on…you guessed it, badass bikers!
We got a couple copies of season 1 on DVD and we want you guys to experience this show. Although it is on FX it still spares very little. Check out this synopsis:
The Sons of Anarchy is an outlaw motorcycle club with many charters in the United States. The Charming local is the original founding charter of the Sons of Anarchy.
The Charming charter is based out of a clubhouse adjacent to the Teller-Morrow auto mechanic shop. Led by Clay Morrow, the club protects and controls Charming through close community relationships, bribery and violent intimidation. The full name of the motorcycle club is Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original; on occasion, the show will abbreviate it as Soa, though more frequently the club...
