Luke Kokotek
- Actor
Luke Ellison Kokotek was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Mary Miles Harrelson, a teacher and an actress, and his father, a graphic designer from Brno, Czech Republic. Luke is the youngest of five children and has 2 older sisters and 2 older brothers--all of whom are actors, as well.
While Luke began acting when he was only three years old in plays that his sister wrote, he officially began his film career at the age of five, as a rural mountain boy, on the set of HBO's The Righteous Gemstones. This particular episode was directed by filmmaker David Gordon Green (Halloween, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends), so Luke's foundation in film was grounded with direction from one of the most notable creators of our generation.
Luke has since worked on numerous feature films and short films for networks such as BET+, Amazon, and HBO. Over the past couple of years, he has focused particularly on the horror genre, playing supportive roles alongside icons such as Lin Shaye (Insidious franchise) and "Chop-Top" Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre). He continues his forte in the upcoming psychological thriller As Perennial As The Grass, written and directed by his sister, Zoe Kokotek. Luke also plays the specialty role "Shortstop" on the limited HBO Max series, The Staircase, in which his older brother, Ryker, plays "Young Michael Peterson", the younger version of the lead, Colin Firth.
Luke is absolutely thrilled about his iconic next role, which is being kept under wraps until it premieres.
Whenever he is not on set, Luke can be found beekeeping with his mom, racing his hoverboard, scooter, and bike at jet speeds, building intricate wooden towns across his home library's floor, and gaming with his siblings.
