Jacqueline Ayala-Alonzo is an award-winning director and producer born in Los Angeles, CA and comes from Guatemalan and Mexican descent. She received her B.S. in journalism from Cal Poly Pomona and M.F.A. in cinematography from Mount Saint Mary's University-Los Angeles.
From a young age, Jacqueline has enjoyed films and creating stories. Growing up, she would go to the movies with her mother and would often stay after the credits to read all the names of the filmmakers who were involved in creating each film. Since becoming a filmmaker, she has become a member of Chicana Director's Initiative, Women in Media, Women of Color Filmmakers and Women in Film.
As of early 2024, she is working on a few scripts that she hopes to direct towards the end of the year.
