Ali Ejaz Mehedi born and raised in the cradle of Dhaka, Bangladesh is a young self-taught director and cinematographer.
Whilst pursuing a photography degree in his early twenties with a deep-rooted interest in the art form, Ejaz became heavily invested in the realm of motion pictures.
Recently Ejaz was behind the camera for "Moshari" an Oscar-qualifying horror short film. "Moshari" won the prestigious SXSW Grand Jury Award at the SXSW film festival and Grand Jury Award at Atlanta Film Festival in 2022. The short film has been officially welcomed to festivals such as Fantastic 7 - Cannes Marché Du Film and SITGES, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, DeadCenter Film Festival, and Palm Springs ShortFest among others around the world.
Ejaz actively seeks stories and projects that resonate with his South-Asian root and identity.
