In 2002 he rejoined Slayer and Paul left the band.

Slayer's new album "Christ Illusion" with the original line-up. Dave's last album with Slayer was "Seasons In The Abyss" release in 1990. "Christ Illusion" it's his first album after 16 years. (August 2006)
