Apoorva Mittra was born in Chennai, India. She began acting on stage at age 10 at The Hebron school in South India.
She was the 1st runner up at the Ponds Femina Miss India South Pageant. While earning her B.Sc in Psychology, Apoorva's modeling career took off, which led her to sign with Wilhelmina modeling agency in Los Angeles.
Apoorva's US modeling campaigns include Wedding Diaries by Anita Dongre, for Vogue: shot by Rid Burman and fashion story spreads in Cosmopolitan and FLANELLE mag. She also featured prominently in Music Videos for John Mayer, The Weeknd and Dvbbs with over 100+ Million views combined. She recently signed with Major Models in New York City.
While modeling, Apoorva continued to pursue her passion for acting in Los Angeles, studying at Ivana Chubbuck, The Storytellers Conservatory and improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade
Apoorva makes her feature film debut in the title role in the Supernatural thriller Bride of the Dead, playing Ara: A young Egyptian woman of keen intelligence and noble soul, taken forcibly from her family and village in 2000 BCE; her soul bound into a "Bride of the Dead" figurine.
