Terese Aiello was born in Pittsburg, California to pharmacist John H. Aiello and homemaker Mary Aiello. She is the youngest of 4 and got the acting bug while attending a summer school program at the age of 12. She has performed on stage in Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles, CA in classic roles such as Annelle in Steel Magnolias, Lenny in Crimes of the Heart and Julia in A Delicate Balance. Her first major film break was playing the oncologist of Ray Liotta's character in the film, The Backup Dancer. Later she played the lead role in the Lifetime movie, Dreamhouse Nightmare. She can be seen in the upcoming AMC series, Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches playing Delia Mayfair.
