A fresh face will be joining the Bosch: Legacy cast when the show returns for season 2 on Amazon Freevee. Actor Max Martini will play a new character named Don Ellis.

Martini’s character is a vice cop in the LAPD. Detective Don Ellis is “intelligent and fierce, and not above getting down and dirty with the criminals he polices to get the job done,” according to Deadline, which reported the casting news.

Ellis is a character in author Michael Connelly’s 18th Harry Bosch novel, The Crossing. Bosch: Legacy Season 2 will draw from that book. It follows former LAPD detective Harry Bosch – now working as a Pi – as he teams up to investigate the case of a man who may have been wrongly accused of murder. Bosch’s investigation soon leads right to the heart of the police department.

Abby Brammell has booked a recurring role on the upcoming sixth season of Amazon’s Bosch. Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, Bosch stars Titus Welliver as homicide Detective Harry Bosch, Jamie Hector as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving. Brammell will play Heather Strout, a tough, smart, blue-collar woman who may or may not be mixed up in some of her husband’s issues. Developed for television by The Wire alum and co-showrunner Eric Overmyer, Bosch is executive produced by Henrik Bastin (The 100 Code), Pieter Jan Brugge (Heat), Connelly, Elle Johnson (Finding Carter) John Mankiewicz (House of Cards), Daniel Pyne (Backstabbing For Beginners), Overmyer, Bo Stehmeier and James Baker. Welliver also serves as Producer. Brammell recently recurred on Fox’s 9-1-1 and recently guest-starred on S.W.A.T., Pearson and Unsolved.

A finalist, Jake (James Immekus) at a World Series poker tournament is missing after he witnesses a murder and Cal (Tim Roth), Gillian (Kelli Williams) and Ben (Mekhi Phifer) are in Las Vegas to scope out his disappearance and monitor the other players. Cal is requested by even organizer, Ellis (Todd Stashwick). The one place where Gillian told Cal not to go in episode 2.1 The Core of It when they were having financial trouble and yet, funnily enough; they end up here. Gillian: "...promise me you'll never go back to Vegas." Well someone made Cal forget that promise. Ria (Monica Raymund) and Eli (Brendan Hines) hold the fort at the office and end up in a bet when Eli keeps talking about his date and Ria tells him she's only into him cos of the expensive restaurants he's talking her too. Ria seems jealous. Yeah maybe she wanted to eat at those restaurants too!

A woman being chased by a lion in the woods is mauled. Ray (Laurence Fishburne) doesn't believe she was hiking and wonders how she got out there. The bite marks on her were made anti-mortum. Sara (Jorga Fox) finds a piece of a tooth. The lion wasn't the cause of all her injuries. Sara thinks she may have "escaped from one animal, only to fall prey to another." Which was exactly the case. Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) and Greg (Eric Szmanda) were absent this episode. Sara gets to work with Ray again. There's another casualty on network TV. CBS' military drama, The Unit, has been cancelled after four seasons on the air.

The Unit revolves around an elite military unit and their civilian loved ones. The series features the talents of Dennis Haysbert, Regina Taylor, Audrey Marie Anderson, Robert Patrick, Max Martini, Abby Brammell, Michael Irby, Scott Foley, Demore Barnes, Alyssa Shafer, Danielle Hanratty, Kavita Patil, and Rebecca Pidgeon.

Created by acclaimed director and writer David Mamet, the series debuted in mid-season 2006. An average audience of 15.5 million viewers ensured a second season for the drama but year two didn't go as well, attracting 11.1 million viewers. The show has continued to decline in the ensuing years and season four has averaged an audience of 9.15 million. Though the overall viewership isn't too low, the series does skew older. The average age of The Unit's viewership is about 55.

Last week on The Unit's fifth episode, we saw the team as they took on a complex transaction that required extensive planning. In fact, the team needed to give up something as valuable to get what they wanted. Last week, we saw the unit as they were assigned to retrieve a nuclear scientist. The task wasn't as east as it sounded as the scientist initially refused to cooperate. When he finally succumbed to their demands, they came to an agreement in which the team had to get vital information from him concerning a terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, we also saw Molly, Kim and Tiffy take on a covert operation which drafted them into the service. They also worked undercover with Jonas. CBS network have provided a sneak peek into the forthcoming episode of "The Unit" through a snippet of episode 4.06. Taking the drama to one of the team member's home, the footage unveils the scene when Master Sergeant Mack Gerhardt insists to know what happen between his wife Tiffy and Colonel Thomas Ryan.

On the other side, Sergeant Major Jonas Blane and the team come up with an idea to make a phony evidence in order to mislead a terrorist into giving them the name of his accomplishes before the truth comes out and they can get away. Entitled "Inquisition", the episode will be aired on Sunday, November 2 at 10/9c.

Blane's wife, Molly (Regina Taylor) is a base matriarch acting as a counselor for other wives as they deal with the fear for their husbands' security.

In the previous season of The Unit, we left off with Jonas, who was in the middle of an investigation concerning the link between a Russian uranium dealer and his old friend at MI5. Bob was promoted to Sergeant First Class.
