Carol Leigh grew up in New York City, attended a Masters Program in Creative Writing at Boston University in the mid 70s. She relocated in San Francisco and began writing, directing producing and starring in a one-woman live theater show, "The Adventures of Scarlot Harlot," which was featured at the National Festival of Women's Theater in 1983. She appeared in performance line-ups with Nora Dunn and Whoopi Goldberg in the mid 80s. She began her career as a director and editor with Tucson Western Television, as part of The TWIT show, producing "War and Pizza in the Global Village" with Randall Harris and David Bukunus. Leigh has produced, directed and starred in a wide variety of short videos and she has appeared in numerous documentaries and TV talk shows.
