Emma-Kate Sanders Bio

As a professional working actor, I have been fortunate to work on set with some of the most amazing Directors such as Baz Luhrmann on Elvis and train with Stephen Lance, Colin Budds, Peter Andrikidis and Kim Farrant, just to name a few.

I regularly train with Tom McSweeney, Ben Parkinson, Barbara Hastings, Anthony Brandon Wong, TAFTA, Bud Hopes, Miss Jane Casting and other incredibly hardworking and talented Casting Directors, Casting Agents, Accent Coaches, Actors, Mentors and training institutions.

I love being an Actor and challenging myself to play all character types and genres. I am blessed to do what I love.

I have an interesting and diverse set of skills and background, having served in the Australian Regular Army as a Medic, trained as Nurse and then worked in a variety of roles within the Qld Police Service and Department of Defence. These roles included Intelligence, Covert Operations, Executive Assistance' to Assistant Commissioners and many others.

I have a building background having co-owned and operated a Building and Design Company and Real Estate Agency with my ex-husband. I've completed many renovations and flip properties on my own.

This industry is one that allows you to be creative and challenge yourself in ways that only other actors and creatives can understand. The most exciting part is working with Directors who 'turn scripts upside down' - it keeps you on your toes, but also shows you how a scene can be flipped with one direction.

This is an incredibly exciting industry and I'm so grateful to be part of it.
