Jessica Salmon, played by Megan Stalter in Lena Dunham’s new Netflix series “Too Much,” is unlike any romantic lead we’ve seen before. Fans of “Hacks” or Stalter’s online comedy will recognize the erratic, tragic-but-self-assured attitude that’s made her characters so popular. But here, it’s encased in deeper, more painful circumstances.

Jessica begins the series sitting in bed when she discovers, via Instagram, that her ex-boyfriend Zev (Michael Zegen) has proposed to his new girlfriend, Wendy (Emily Ratajkowski). She begins sobbing and screaming, but there’s no one to hear her but her dog.

It’s Jessica’s first day in London, where she’s moved temporarily for a work opportunity. There, she reflects on the worst parts of the breakup — namely, the night she got drunk and broke into Zev and Wendy’s apartment to scream at them both.

Lena Dunham’s Netflix TV show, Too Much, has debuted its 10 episodes of comedy and chaos. The show is largely based on her own life and relationship with her now husband, with each episode focusing on both the present and the past, showing us what pushes a character to make certain bad decisions and why those are okay. But the crux of the story is that it’s a romance about two very chaotic people coming together, and why they’re meant to be. It’s honestly going to be quite hard recapping the show, because a lot of it isn’t chronological and is mostly conversational. But, having said that, I’m going to try and set things in order and go through character histories so you can understand everything that went down in the show. Actor Michael Madsen, best known for frequently collaborating with Quentin Tarantino, has passed away. He was 67 years old.

Per NBC Los Angeles, Madsen was found unresponsive on Thursday morning at his Malibu home. Reportedly, a 911 call was placed that morning, and first responders declared the Reservoir Dogs star dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated that foul play is not suspected, and a rep for the actor also told THR that they "understand Michael had a cardiac arrest."
