David B. Harris
- Writer
Dave got his start in NYC's Stand-up and sketch comedy scene. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, Dave shifted his focus from performance to writing. He was staffed on a sitcom for the WB entitled the (Mis)Adventures of Fiona Plum and shortly following that moved on to write for NBC's American Dreams.
While developing projects on his own Dave had the opportunity to work for TLC and FOX writing and producing reality programming with Nash Entertainment.
Dave then wrote the pilot episode of HBO's Off the Record, an in-depth music talk show featuring Bono and the Edge of U2, and hosted by Dave Stewart.
Dave returned to his performance roots, by voicing Buttercup in the hit Crackle web series, Roadents, a show that was animated to the improvisations between Dave and his co-star, Kevin McShane.
Meanwhile, with Dave Stewart and Christine Harris, Dave developed, sold and wrote the graphic novel, Zombie Broadway, to Virgin Comics, which is now being developed as a feature film.
Dave (alongside Dave Stewart) was the creator of ABC's Reba McEntire comedy Malibu Country and wrote Hole in the Fence for Paramount, a coming of age, musical feature film executive produced by Dave Stewart and Ringo Starr.
David also wrote "Age of Summer", a coming-of-age feature film about the Junior Lifeguard Program that was completed and released September 2018.
Dave's (along with co-creator Ned Douglas) animated series, Thousand Bear Band is being developed by Bixpix Animation and runs thepodplay, a podcast production company which produce "podplays": audio theater for podcasting content platforms.
