In a sign of the times, Creative Artists Agency has inked a deal with an artificial intelligence company to store clients’ digital assets.
CAA and Veritone announced their partnership on Tuesday, leading to the creation of the “CAAVault” — a synthetic media vault that will store all intellectual property related to all CAA talent’s name, image and likeness. This includes digital scans and voice recordings.
According to Veritone, talent will retain access to their digital assets via a “personal vault,” which will allow them to share their assets as they see fit.
This appears to be the first deal of its kind between a talent agency and an AI company. It comes on the heels of last year’s lengthy dual strikes, which helped achieve sweeping AI protections in the latest studio contracts for the WGA, DGA and SAG-AFTRA.

In 2024, the horror fantasy film The Vampire Next Door intertwines the elements of high school romance, mystery, and horror and creates a unique narrative that can intrigue some of its viewers. Not all, because, I guess, horror is genre-specific to the audience, and not everyone has a taste for such fantasy horror films. Nevertheless, The Vampire Next Door’s protagonist, Cameron, finds himself entangled in a series of complex emotions while trying to deal with his unrequited love for a woman named Diane. However, Cameron’s world turns upside down when a beautiful young girl, Victoria, rents an apartment next door, and to much of his surprise, Victoria turns out to be a vampire. As Cameron delves deeper into Victoria’s supernatural existence, he uncovers shocking truths about the people in his life and their secret identities that they had been hiding forever. The revelation takes an emotional toll on...

Helmed by Sean King O’Grady, The Mill is set in a dystopian universe, much like a lengthy Black Mirror episode but with less intrigue. Sean King’s The Mill makes sense in every way, starting from its angry commentary on worker exploitation and the overenthusiastic activity of certain workers, which always raises the bar, becoming a double-edged sword for average employees. The Mill is all about a hard-working employee, Joe, who wakes up inside a prison cell of “Mallard,” a multinational company where he has been working for several years. An emotionless AI-generated voice constantly demanding Joe push a giant grist mill is the ultimate conflict in Joe’s life. However, The Mill decides whether it is possible for the average Joe to find a way out of the prison or if he’ll have to stay in this constant loop until he breathes his last breath.

I don't know what it is about this Halloween season, but it seems that not a day has gone by this month without a news report breaking about irate citizens lashing out against good, clean Halloween fun. It's only the first season finale of "King & Maxwell," but could it already be the end of their pairing? The Secret Service wanted Michelle Maxwell back, and they were willing to offer her her dream job in order to get her. But after spending this much time working alongside Sean King, would she take them up on it?
It turns out, he was able to offer her something even more valuable, and so she turned down the job. This left King stunned. "Michelle, that’s the career you worked for," he told her.
“You said I was the only person you could trust," Maxwell said, as an explanation of sorts. When King asked her if that fact meant more to her than the Secret Service, she responded, "That means more to me than anything.”

"King & Maxwell" is the latest in TNT's ampersand crime dramedies, this one starring Jon Tenney as Sean King and Rebecca Romijn as Michelle Maxwell, both former Secret Service who are now a duo of private investigators.
If you haven't read the books, we're curious what you thought about the new series. Tenney and Romijn have a cute chemistry, for sure. But as fans of the book series, we wish the show had started at a different point in time.
In the book series, King and Maxwell meet each other when her missing presidential candidate turns out to be tied to King's assassinated presidential candidate from eight years earlier. It's a terrific mystery and there is a development of the characters before they are joined up working as investigators.

Clearly, TNT loves Jon Tenney.
And the feeling is mutual, since the actor has worked for the cable network for the better part of the past decade. After his long run as FBI Special Agent Fritz Howard -- longtime friend and eventual husband of Kyra Sedgwick's Brenda Leigh Johnson on "The Closer," a role he's occasionally reprised on the spinoff "Major Crimes" -- Tenney launches a new TNT crime drama as "King & Maxwell" premieres Monday (June 10).
He and Rebecca Romijn play Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, former Secret Service agents now partnered as private detectives. The characters originated in best sellers by David Baldacci ("Absolute Power"), and they're odd-couple opposites: He's more refined while she's the street-wise one.
Michael O'Keefe ("Caddyshack") and Chris Butler co-star as FBI operatives in the show that includes Shane Brennan ("NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles") among its executive producers.

TNT‘s latest crime drama, King & Maxwell, has a somewhat familiar feel to it, but surpasses many of the network’s less interesting, but popular efforts. In the end, it looks as though that might not be a good thing.
Much like USA, it isn’t difficult to know that you’re watching something on TNT. Whether it’s The Closer, Leverage, Perception, or Falling Skies, the network has a certain feel to it. Of course, there are two camps to these shows, despite the similarity of style and substance, and the real question for any show is which side we’re leaning toward.
One camp begins and ends with The Closer. It’s a show I didn’t watch beyond the first season, largely because it flew out over left field and beyond so fast that I couldn’t even comprehend the interest, much less actually manage any. Good or bad,...

TNT is adding to its original-series lineup with a show about a pair of private investigators starring Rebecca Romijn and "The Closer's" Jon Tenney.
The untitled show is based on a series of novels by David Baldacci about Sean King (Tenney) and Michelle Maxwell (Romijn), former Secret Service agents who now work together as private eyes. The show was known as "King and Maxwell" in its pilot stage, but that's apparently out of the running now.
Ryan Hurst ("Sons of Anarchy"), Michael O'Keefe and Chris Butler also star in the series, which comes from "NCIS: Los Angeles" creator Shane Brennan. He's executive producing with Grant Anderson.
TNT has ordered 10 episodes of the series to premiere in the summer, presumably with an approved title.

TNT has ordered to series a drama about a private investigator team. Rebecca Romjin and Jon Tenney will headline an untitled private eye show that was previously dubbed King and Maxwell, from NCIS: La executive producer Shane Brennan. Romjin will play Michelle Maxwell, a former secret services agent who investigates politically sensitive cases along with her partner, Sean King (The Closer’s Tenney).
The pickup, which was first reported by Deadline, should be especially good news to fans of Ryan Hurst, who’s character Opie was killed off last season on Sons of Anarchy. Hurst co-stars in the project as a high-functioning autistic savant.

Exclusive Updated: A new duo will be joining TNT‘s primetime. I’ve learned that the network has given a series order to the pilot King And Maxwell starring Rebecca Romijn and Jon Tenney. The series, which is now untitled, hails from from CBS TV Studios and NCIS: La boss Shane Brennan. Adapted from characters created by bestselling author David Baldacci, it has received a 10-episode order for a summer 2013 launch. In the vein of Moonlighting, the series follows Sean King (Tenney) and Michelle Maxwell (Romijn), who aren’t the typical pair of private investigators. Both are former Secret Service agents, and their unique skill sets (not to mention their razor-sharp chemistry) often gives them a leg up on suspects and conventional law enforcement. With her striking beauty, athletic prowess and Beltway connections, Maxwell is a formidable investigator, determined to prove herself after being forced to resign from the Secret Service.
