Elli is a performer with the combined talents of Zero Mostel, Nathan Lane, Danny Kaye, Robin Williams, and Luciano Pavarotti.
Elli began his theatrical career in Los Angeles under the direction of the famous That Little Old Wine Maker ME! James Rawley & Rawley's best friend, Lee Strasberg. Some of the many varied roles he inhabited were Jud in Oklahoma, The Tin Man in the The Wizard of Oz, A-rab in West Side Story, Charlie Davenport in Annie Get Your Gun, Kralahome in The King & I, Nicely-Nicely in Guys & Dolls, he has also appeared in such favorites as Arsenic & Old Lace, Julius Caesar, Up the Down Staircase & Our Town, to name a few & is destined to play the part of Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. Elli's unique look & mold-able image, added to the myriad languages & accents he has perfected, lends itself to the diverse roles he plays.
For a while, Elli changed directions & lived his childhood dream of becoming a Hassidic Orthodox Rabbi & Cantor, leading religious services & teaching in Synagogues throughout the U.S. & Canada. He is now reviving his dream of taking his place on "The Great White Way," by lending his rich, multi-accented & multi-character voice to several children's audio tapes, radio & TV commercials, both in the U.S. & England.
In November 2002, Elli appeared as an extra (a Hasidic Jew) in the film, 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) filmed in Miami, Florida. In April 2003, he worked as an extra in the independent film Once Upon a Wedding (2005) as a barfly. In January, 2003 he performed the role of "Papa" in the Florida tour of "The Jazz Singer" which played South and Central Florida.
Since moving to NYC in 2004, he has been seen in commercials, promo spots for VH1's Metal Month, as featured background in several movies & been on stage at Birdland in Times Square, the Duplex & Marie's Crisis in the Village and has been seen singing & doing stand-up comedy at The Triad and The Metropolitan Room where he is a Guinness World Record Holder for participating in the World's longest Cabaret Show.
Working on his 4th one-man show, Elli has become quite popular & well known on the Florida, New York & California Karaoke circuits & is lovingly referred to as "The King of Broadway."
Elli is a founding member of the Jewish improv group Improvodox. His 2010s feature film credits also include Rob the Mob opposite Michael Pitt & Nina Arianda, The Cobbler, starring Adam Sandler, as The Pawnbroker in John Wick 2 opposite Keanu Reeves, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
In addition to his busy performing schedule Elli started BroadwayKingdom to review NYC Entertainment and interview Celebrities and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA/AEA serving on several boards and committees there.
Upcoming: The 6th Annual Chanukah Show at The Metropolitan Room in 2018 in NYC as part of his "Jewish Holiday Cabaret" Series and watch for "An Evening with the music of Allan Sherman" in 2018.
