Kid Rock is an avid supporter of President-elect Donald Trump. He performed at several of the politician’s rallies and the 2024 Republican National Convention. Rumors circulated on social media that the rocker would team up with country artist Blake Shelton for a “non-woke” tour of states that overwhelmingly voted for Trump. Keep reading for all the details on the alleged tour.
Blake Shelton Teams Up With Kid Rock For ‘Non-Woke’ Tour?
Kid Rock’s political leanings are very clear. What about Blake Shelton? The country singer hasn’t been as vocal about his politics as some other musicians. In 2016, he tweeted, “Hey guys lets talk politics. I believe many of the challenges this nation faces today can be solved. And I’m just gonna say what I think.” But he never really followed up with further comment.

The traveling festival Rock the Country is expanding. Co-founder Kid Rock will headline the second iteration of the event with Nickelback in 11 cities across America between April and July 2025, up from seven cities during this year’s inaugural run. But it isn’t just the lineup of country music acts or tour stops that are expanding — so is Rock’s definition of the event.
“It’s this simple, Rock The Country isn’t just a music festival, it’s a movement,” he said in a statement. “It’s a place for hard working,...

Afroman said it himself in 2022: he needs money… which must be one of the reasons why he’s making a pivot to conservative politics with his new single “Hunter Got High,” a Hunter Biden-themed remix of “Because I Got High.”
Released via Baste Records (a “conservative music company” making its “first venture into political satire” with the single), “Hunter Got High” is, to be frank, lame. Selling itself as letting “everyone know that even Afroman is fed up with the way the Democrats are running the country,” it sees Afroman switch out the lyrics to his 2001 stoner masterpiece with tired references to the younger Biden’s many scandals and conspiracies, which are not only unfunny, but somehow manage to make a catchy tune no longer catchy.
“He was gonna get his laptop fixed, but Hunter got high/ He wasn’t gonna show all those dick pics, but then he got high,...

Afroman has once again found himself caught up in marijuana misfortune, this time while trying to cross the Canadian border back to the States. The Palmdale rapper was cited and detained by the US Border Patrol for possession of weed and a large amount of cash on Tuesday, June 20th, reports TMZ.
After a run of Canadian tour dates, Afroman and his crew were attempting to cross into upstate New York at the St. Lawrence River port of entry for an upcoming gig. The feds reportedly found $10,000 in cash as well as a small, personal amount of weed.
In an interview with TMZ, Afroman claimed to only have a bottle of cannabis pain lotion after giving nearly all of his weed to his fans and the housekeepers at the hotel where he was staying, though his DJ was found to have a few cannabis gummies as well. The artist said...

The artist behind “Because I Got High” is seeking a higher office: Afroman is officially running for president in the 2024 US election.
After he announced his bid last December, TMZ reports that Afroman, born Jason Foreman, filed the necessary paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission on April 18th. Luckily, he gave himself a good window of time before partaking in any 4/20 activities.
This news comes just a few weeks after police in Adams County, Ohio sued Afroman, alleging the rapper invaded their privacy by using security footage of them in his music videos. The clips were obtained when the plaintiffs raided Afroman’s home in August 2022 on suspicions of drug trafficking and kidnapping, which turned out to be unfounded.

The ACLU of Ohio filed a brief Wednesday in support of Afroman after the rapper was sued by a sheriff’s department when he turned footage of their botched raid on his home into his latest music video.
In March, seven members of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office filed a lawsuit against the weed-loving rapper, born Joseph Foreman, for invasion of privacy after they unwillingly (but legally) featured in his video for “Will You Help Me Repair My Door?”; the song and video documents an August 2022 raid the sheriff’s...

Saturday Night Live opened with a music-themed spoof of former President Donald Trump‘s recent indictment.
Comedian James Austin Johnson portrayed Trump, saying, “It’s me, hi. I’m the problem,” referencing Taylor Swift‘s “Anti-Hero.” “Well, folks, I got indicted. Or as I spell it, indicated.”
Johnson then joked that he would be putting out an album of 30 covers to raise money from his supporters, adding he would need it for “commissary snacks” while in jail.
He then stated that the single “Justice For All,” a charity song by a group of about 20 men imprisoned for their involvement in the January 6 U.S. Capitol attack, was a hit, beating “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus. The real-life profits from the song were used for the legal aid of people incarcerated for the attack.
The skit continued with a string of cameos by other cast members playing known Trump supporters, including Kenan Thompson as boxer Don King,...

Rapper Afroman faces a lawsuit from Ohio law enforcement officers alleging that he invaded their privacy by using images of them raiding his house.
Afroman (real name Joseph Foreman) had his home raided in August 2022 by the Adam’s County Sheiff’s Office. They were looking for drugs and alleged kidnapping victims.
No charges were filed based on the raid. However, security cameras and footage from Foreman’s wife’s mobile phone were captured. Those images were used in subsequent videos mocking the situation.
“I asked myself, as a powerless Black man in America, what can I do to the cops that kicked my door in, tried to kill me in front of my kids, stole my money and disconnected my cameras?” Foreman said in an NPR interview. “And the only thing I could come up with was make a funny rap song about them and make some money, use...

In August 2022, police in Adams County, Ohio raided the home of Joseph Foreman — a.k.a. Afroman — on unfounded suspicions of drug trafficking and kidnapping. In brilliant retaliation, the “Because I Got High” rapper used home security footage of the raid and referenced it in multiple music videos. Now, seven officers have sued Afroman for allegedly invading their privacy.
Local news outlets report that the plaintiffs — four deputies, two sergeants, and a detective — are claiming Afroman took footage of their faces obtained during the raid and circulated it without their consent, which is a misdemeanor violation under Ohio Revised Code. They’re also suing on civil grounds, claiming they’ve suffered “emotional distress, embarrassment, ridicule, loss of reputation, and humiliation.”
What’s more, the plaintiffs are demanding all Afroman’s profits from the use of their personas, which they’ve outlined as proceeds from the songs, music videos, and concert tickets,...

Late last August, members of the Sheriff’s Department in Adams County, Ohio busted into a home, armed with rifles and wearing full tactical gear. They’d obtained a warrant on suspicion of drug trafficking and kidnapping — but after smashing down the door and scouring every inch of the house, the cops found neither drugs nor any signs of any kidnappings. They nevertheless confiscated a few items, including about $5,000 in cash, which was later returned (after an independent investigation was required to prove the full amount was there) to its owner — the lovable,...

Brian Eno is one of a number of friends and fellow artists to contribute to a project by Reverend and the Makers for their forthcoming album, Heatwave in the Cold North.
To mark the release of the band’s new single “A Letter to My 21-Year-Old Self”, frontman Jon McClure asked fans and friends to write their own letters imparting wisdom to their past selves with an exhibition held in Sheffield last night.
Read Eno’s letter below:
Dear Brian,
As clever as you think you are you could benefit from a little more humility. You hold very strong views but I suspect that this is often because you admire the other people who hold those views and hope that some of their worldliness will rub off onto you. Sometimes, you must admit, you haven’t thought those matters through very carefully, and yet you argue for them as though...

Neil Young has publicly called out Ticketmaster for its high ticket prices.
In a new post titled “Concert Touring Is Broken” on his website, the 77-year-old singer wrote: “It’s over. The old days are gone.”
“I get letters blaming me for $3,000 tickets for a benefit I am doing. That money does not go to me or the benefit. Artists have to worry about ripped-off fans blaming them for Ticketmaster add-ons and scalpers.
“Concert tours are no longer fun. Concert tours not what they were.”
Young’s post also consists of a news article highlighting The Cure’s recent Ticketmaster debacle for the “Verified Fan” sale for their upcoming tour.
“I am as sickened as you all are by today’s Ticketmaster ‘fees’ debacle,” frontman Robert Smith tweeted on 15 March. “To be very clear: The artist has no way to limit them. I have been asking how they are justified.
