Emanuel Cohn is an actor and screenwriter and has portrayed a wide range of both comic and dramatic roles. He wrote the script of the widely acclaimed short The Little Dictator (2015), directed by his sister Nurith Cohn, in which he plays the lead role, nerdy Professor Yossi Kleinmann. For his comic and touching performance he was awarded several international Best Actor Awards.
Emanuel Cohn was born and raised in Basel, Switzerland. After high-school he moved to Israel where he completed a Masters in Philosophy. He studied acting at the Visual Theater and screenwriting at the Maaleh Film School, Jerusalem. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, German, Italian, French and Yiddish.
