Red Hulk’s Powers and Role in MCU ( Photo Credit – YouTube )
Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World is arriving soon, and guess what? The Red Hulk has officially arrived, and it’s none other than President Ross, who was played by the legendary star Harrison Ford. The dude running the country is also hulking in his fiery rage mode. The release of its trailer teases a clash between Sam Wilson’s Captain America and Ross’ Red Hulk, making us wait for some serious fireworks.
Who is Red Hulk In Comics History?
Interestingly, Red Hulk’s comic book origin is a wild ride. It has all kinds of kicks after World War Hulk, where a shady group of supervillains called Intelligencia got their hands on Hulk’s drained gamma radiation. And their plan? Well, to create a new, weaponized Hulk. Who steps up for the job? None other than General ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross,...

The promotional tie-ins for Captain America: Brave New World have begun ahead of the movie's release in theaters next February, starting with a new minute-long commercial shared today by Microsoft.
In that, Joaquin Torres uses some new Windows technology to design his wings; Sam Wilson, meanwhile, has more pressing matters to tend to as he unleashes various gadgets to combat his enemies on the battlefield.
We also get some never-before-seen footage from the movie as Captain America and the new Falcon blast into action together.
That's expected to be the location of a major aerial action sequence in Captain America: Brave New World and the source of Adamantium in the MCU. As we're sure you already know, that indestructible metal is what coats Wolverine's bones.
"It’s very different with the serum - you can fight anybody," Anthony Mackie recently said of how his Captain America differs from Steve Rogers.

If you saw the new Funko Pop collection designed for Captain America: Brave New World, you may look like Red Hulk (Harrison Ford), too. That bellowing growl is not giving "Smash" in a steroid-rage way, but ridiculously angry in a "This sucks out loud" feel toward the other baddie in the film —The Leader.
Played by Tim Blake Nelson ("Looking Glass" in The Watchmen Max series), The Leader is every bit a fascinating antagonist in Captain America's world. He's a primary fixture in the life of Sam Wilson as well. He was known as Samuel Sterns until a freak chemical accident that exposed him to heavy gamma radiation (because Hulk). Then, something goes terribly wrong. Sterns' skin turns green, and his head grows exponentially.
He will capture our imagination because he looks like the love child of Brainiac and a Skrull Warrior. That notwithstanding, Sterns' heightened intellect grants him powers beyond his wildest dreams,...

With Captain America: Brave New World merchandise starting to find its way into stores, a first look at the movie's Funko Pops has just been revealed.
We have Sam Wilson/Captain America, Joaquin Torres/The Falcon, Ruth/Sabra, Red Hulk, and our best look yet at The Leader. However, Tim Blake Nelson's version of the villain both is and isn't what we expected.
To put it bluntly, the classic Hulk villain is very...ordinary. Dressed in normal street clothes, his head is enlarged but this Leader isn't as dramatic in appearance as his comic book counterpart. The figure also debunks previous reports that Samuel Sterns won't be green as we see here that he shares the same jade hue as Bruce Banner.
Many fans were disappointed when The Leader wasn't revealed to be pulling the strings in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, so the hope now is Captain America: Brave New World...

As we head towards the end of 2024, we can't help but look back on what a recognizably stronger year it has been for Marvel Studios. The studio that once had no bad years, 2023 was a bit of a rough one for it, as a number of struggles at the box office and negatively received Disney Plus shows brought an unexpected sign of weakness for the formerly indestructible franchise. But it bounced back in a big way this year, with Deadpool and Wolverine scoring out-of-this-world numbers at the box office (and earning the franchise another billion-dollar hit) while shows Echo, X-Men '97 and Agatha All Along performed well on the Disney Plus streaming service and earned praise from the core Marvel fans.

With Marvel Studios forced to scrap plans for Jonathan Majors to be the Multiverse Saga's big bad, this year's San Diego Comic-Con saw Robert Downey Jr.'s MCU return confirmed...as Doctor Doom!
The decision to cast the Iron Man star in that role has divided opinions; between enlisting the McU's biggest draw and the return of the Russo Brothers, it's clear Kevin Feige hopes to recapture the success found by Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Downey is rumoured to appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps but will take centre stage in the aptly named Avengers: Doomsday.
During a recent interview with Nerdbunker, Captain America: Brave New World star Anthony Mackie was asked about Sam Wilson taking on Downey's Doom as the McU's new Captain America and responded, "Robert Downey Jr. has had his ass-kicking coming for a long time, and I'm very proud to say he [is] going to get it!

Marvel has decided to take Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson right back to the superhero stone age with its latest iteration, in which he will basically have no power at all
There’s a weird thing about superheroes. They tend to be a little bit more intriguing when they actually have superpowers. Yes, there is the odd exception: Batman has managed to navigate a Gotham City filled with supervillains who vacillate between the distinctly non-magical and the utterly bonkers, without having any powers of his own – unless you count his uncanny ability to weaponise extreme wealth and a voice like he has been gargling gravel. Iron Man may not be filled with radioactive spider venom or gamma rays, but he does develop technology that would make Elon Musk sweat as if he’s just realised his latest rocket is running on Windows Vista.

Much has been said about Captain America: Brave New World's supposed reshoots and test screenings; regardless of what's really gone on behind the scenes, we'd be shocked if Marvel Studios risks releasing another Eternals or Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania to kick off 2025.
Beyond the rumours, how non-fans and casual moviegoers react to the new Captain America and the fact screen icon Harrison Ford is playing a Red Hulk will be very interesting.
Now, though, we've learned that Captain America: Brave New World will have some serious competition over Valentine's Day and Presidents Day weekend in North America. Sony has just moved StudioCanal's Paddington in Peru from January 17, 2025 to February 14, 2025.
That's proven to be a good weekend for Sony in previous years as 2018's Peter Rabbit opened with $25 million before hopping its way to a domestic cume of $115.2 million.
The Paddington franchise isn't quite as popular in the U.

There are only a few months left until Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters. Despite the controversies surrounding its development, fans have a lot to look forward to.
This movie marks Sam Wilson’s first solo adventure as Captain America in the MCU, and we’ll also see Thaddeus Ross transform into the Red Hulk. The latest trailer and rumors suggest that the film will address a previously overlooked aspect of the MCU—Celestial Tiamut. His corpse will become a key source of adamantium.
Adamantium, the powerful metal known for Wolverine’s claws and skeleton, will play a major role in Brave New World. At the start of the film, countries are competing for control of adamantium resources. President Ross plans to share these resources globally and recruits Sam Wilson to help rebuild the Avengers.
Adamantium is a nearly indestructible steel alloy, denser than vibranium, and more effective for drilling.

Captain America: Brave New World is shaping up to be an exciting MCU project—at least on paper. The movie marks Sam Wilson’s first solo outing as Captain America, where he’ll face off against Thaddeus Ross’ Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford.
However, the film’s development has been rocky, with controversies, reshoots, and poor test screenings causing delays. Now, it seems more changes are on the way after yet another test screening reportedly didn’t go well.

What If…? Season 3 has some great episodes lined up. One of the most heavily anticipated What If? is the one where the Avengers don Gundam-style suits to face off against Gamma-infused monsters in what is called ‘The Gamma Wars’. “Captain America: Brave New World” is one of the most highly anticipated movies in the MCU. It will be Anthony Mackie’s first solo film as Captain America and will also introduce Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford.
Fans are worried because while Steve Rogers had the Super Soldier Serum, Sam Wilson doesn’t have any superpowers or enhanced abilities. This makes it hard to imagine how Sam could defeat Red Hulk in a direct fight.
Mackie recently said that the key to his success will be in the suit, and now Marvel has shared a new look at how the big showdown might go down.
ComicBook has revealed the cover for Sam Wilson: Captain America #2, featuring Sam Wilson fighting Red Hulk. The cover shows Red Hulk throwing a punch while Sam blocks it with his shield. The battle likely takes place near floating platforms, where Red Hulk works as Head of Security.

It's a time of change for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What started as a huge and expansive project in the Multiverse Saga has led to more, unexpected change, as Marvel Studios has had to consider which of its newer titles were worth investing in based on some negative fan response and poor showings on their respective platforms. This is Marvel we are talking about, so they are still in a very good place, but it has taken a number of blows that it hadn't before, leading to some creative decisions being made about its future.
The long-awaited Secret Invasion received an overwhelmingly negative response from just about anyone who watched it (even the most devoted of fans weren't happy about certain creative choices) and other projects that received something of a lukewarm response may or may not return for future outings.

Sam Wilson is a hero, but he is also an ordinary human being. While Steve Rogers had the Super Soldier Serum, Wilson doesn’t have that advantage; And it’s an advantage he could surely use going up against Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World. The power balance feels so lopsided that some fans have wondered just how Wilson will avoid becoming a red stain on the floor after mere moments. While speaking at the Disney Apac Content Showcase in Singapore (via ComicBookMovie), Anthony Mackie addressed how Wilson will be able to fight Red Hulk.
It seems Wilson will be using more brain than brawn, with the added benefit of a Wakandan super suit. “It’s very different with the serum – you can fight anybody. Sam Wilson became the McU's new Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, though we won't get to see what he can really do until next February's Captain America: Brave New World.
While the movie appears to be going for the same grounded tone as 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Sam will also be pitted against Red Hulk. He's an immensely powerful foe who would give Steve Rogers a run for his money, never mind a regular guy like the former Falcon.
Talking at the Disney Apac Content Showcase in Singapore, Anthony Mackie addressed how the new Captain America will deal with superpowered threats when he has no Super Soldier Serum pumping through his veins.
"Sam’s evolution is simple. He’s still a counsellor. He’s still serving soldiers, but at the same time, now he’s a leader of his community in the country," the actor started.

Ever since Steve Rogers decided to hand his shield off to his buddy Sam Wilson (a.k.a. Falcon) at the end of Avengers: Endgame, fans have wondered what was next. We got a Disney+ series that showed Sam’s hesitance to pick up the mantle of Captain America and the history that comes with it. By the end of the series, he knew he was the only person who could take on the role of Captain America. Now, where do we go? It looks like the upcoming story of super heroes and alter egos, Captain America: Brave New World, will tell us when it reaches theatre screens on February 14, 2025.

The next addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World, is set to reach theatres on February 14, 2025 – and this Captain America adventure sees Anthony Mackie’s character Sam Wilson, formerly known as Falcon, carrying the shield now that his pal Steve Rogers is retired. But he’s not the only hero who’s taking on the mantle of a fellow hero in this film. With a new Captain America comes a new Falcon, as Wilson has passed his old set of wings (as seen in the TV series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) over to United States Air Force intelligence officer Joaquín Torres, played by Danny Ramirez – and director Julius Onah told Empire that the brotherhood between Sam and Joaquín is a key emotional center in the film.

Empire showed off a brand spanking new image from February’s Captain America: Brave New World which contains Joaquin Torres’ Falcon.
Captain America: Brave New World is poised to push Sam Wilson to the limit as he contends with an unstable, Gamma-infused President Ross and a host of other villains (including the long-forgotten Leader). To make matters worse, a war brews over the discovery of Adamantium in a highly contested region of the globe.
But luckily for Captain America, he will have his own Falcon in the form of Air Force buddy Joaquin Torres.

When Sam Wilson takes centre stage in next February's Captain America: Brave New World, he'll have some backup in Joaquín Torres, the McU's new Falcon.
Introduced as a supporting character in Disney+'s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, he'll suit up in this movie and our first official look at him in action alongside Captain America can be seen below.
Empire Online also spoke with Captain America: Brave New World's Julius Onah who, contrary to recent reports, has not been removed as the movie's helmer.
"There’s this incredible big brother/little brother dynamic between them," the filmmaker said of the new Captain America/Falcon dynamic. "It’s going to be one of the key emotional centres of the film."

Every good hero needs a wingman. And as The Falcon, Sam Wilson was always there to provide that for Steve Rogers’ Captain America. Now, with Wilson stepping up as the new Cap – post-Avengers: Endgame and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier – he’s got a wingman of his own. As introduced in Falcon on Disney+, Wilson’s brand-spanking-new star-spangled Cap has a Falcon of his own, Danny Ramirez’s Joaquín Torres, strapping on his own set of high-tech soaring gear to fight for justice.
While the prospect of two flying heroes brings much opportunity for big-screen spectacle, it’ll also provide some heart in a Marvel movie aiming for political-thriller intrigue. “There’s this incredible big brother/little brother dynamic between them,” director Julius Onah tells Empire of the new Cap-Falcon relationship. “It’s going to be one of the key emotional centres of the film.”

The newest Captain America: Brave New World trailer recently dropped and many people are surprisingly pleased. There’s a very cool, spy-like vibe to it and tons of action. Red Hulk emerges from Harrison Ford leaving fiery debris in his place, Sam throws his shield through several flying missiles over the body of Tiamut, and the red, white, and blue wings look cooler and meaner than ever. Then there’s a scene which is perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of Marvel cheese where Sam slams downward from the sky, perfectly executing a superhero landing, says, “wait for it”, and a gust of wind follows him down, blowing back his enemies. That made me nod my head, grin, and think, “nice”.

In Which Avengers Movie Was Scarlett Johansson Paid More Than Chris Evans? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Did you know Scarlett Johansson was pulling in more cash than Chris Evans in Avengers: Age of Ultron? While Cap was out there leading the charge, Scarlett’s Black Widow bagged a sweet $20 million, out-earning Evans by a solid $5 million. Not too shabby for Natasha Romanoff, right?
Johansson didn’t start with those numbers, though. Back in Iron Man 2, she made $400,000 for her debut as the fierce super-spy. Fast forward to 2015, and her paycheck in Age of Ultron proves Marvel knew the actress was a key player. It was clear—Black Widow wasn’t just a sidekick; she was big-league.
Meanwhile, Evans was on his own journey. From making $300,000 in his solo debut, Captain America: The First Avenger, he saw his pay skyrocket with each Avengers outing. Though he might’ve made less than Johansson in Age of Ultron,...

Marvel Studios has assembled one of its best ensembles yet for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Led by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the supporting cast includes names like Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne.
We don't know who the latter is playing, though fans have speculated that the Russian Doll star could be everyone from Alicia Masters to the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E.

Following the release of a brand-new trailer, Captain America: Brave New World star Anthony Mackie has taken to Instagram to share a new still from the movie to celebrate Veterans Day.
The image gives us another look at Mackie as Sam Wilson in his new costume. "Happy Veterans Day America. To all of our men and women in uniform, thank you for your service and sacrifice," the actor captioned his post.
In related news, it seems the recent rumor that the fourth Cap adventure was set to undergo more reshoots was accurate, as Mackie has been spotted shooting new scenes for the movie in LA. There's a good chance that these are just a few minor pick-ups, but there's speculation that additional photography was scheduled after some recent test-screenings.
According to reports, the responses from those that attended were largely mixed-negative, with the movie described as “inessential” and “flat.”

Marvel has dropped the trailer for the third and final season of its animated anthology series “What If…?”, spotlighting more humor and spectacle. The alternate multiverse, led by a host of new characters, gets pushed to wacky extremes through the exploration of different genres.
One of the standouts is X-Men’s Storm as the self-proclaimed Goddess of Thunder, voiced by Alison Sealy-Smith, who played Storm in Disney+ series “X-Men ’97” and the original 1990s “X-Men” cartoon series. She’s a bit of a change of pace from Howard the Duck (voiced by Seth Green), who is back for a final flight.
Other characters mutating their way into Season 3 include Captain America/Sam Wilson, The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, Hulk/Bruce Banner, The Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, Agatha Harkness, and Shang-Chi. Plus, Jeffrey Wright’s omniscient Watcher returns as narrator. There are hints of Red Guardians and mechs, a Western and musical comedy.

Chris Evans’ exit from the MCU as the formidable Captain American left a lot of fans heartbroken yet hopeful for the future of the character. The mantle along with the shield was handed over to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson by the first Avenger himself.
After his performance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans are excited to see the further development of Wilson’s character arc. Among numerous theories floating about the upcoming Captain America 4, one rumor focused on the possible upgrades he received. Fans are skeptical about the face-off between Red Hulk and the new Cap when the latter clearly lacks enhancements.
Theory 1: The Super Soldier Serum
Many fans speculated online that Anthony Mackie‘s character might finally receive his artificial upgrade for the upcoming battles. Sam Wilson, unlike Chris Evans‘ Steve Rogers, did not reap the benefits of the powerful Super Soldier Serum that helped create Captain America.
