Prior to her death in January 2023, Lisa Marie Presley was working on a memoir. Following her death, her daughter Riley Keough found it prudent to complete the memoir and publish it.
To do so, she listened to a series of voice tapes left behind by her mother, and something she said in one of them encouraged her to leave an anecdote that quickly made headlines immediately the book hit the shelves.
It had to do with where her late brother’s body was kept before his burial. Are you sure you’re ready for this?

Elvis Presley loved spending the holidays at Graceland. It was a time of year when he could rest and recharge after months of performing concerts or filming movies. However, he didn’t always celebrate Thanksgiving with his family and friends at Graceland as much as he’d like.
Why didn’t Elvis Presley regularly celebrate Thanksgiving at Graceland?
Elvis Presley’s schedule was jam-packed after becoming a music sensation in the early 1950s. His manager, Colonel Tom Parker, kept Elvis on the road performing for the better part of each year.
As Elvis’ career escalated, he added television appearances and movies to his packed schedule. Thus, he spent more time away from his beloved Memphis, Tennessee home.
Therefore, there were many times Elvis wasn’t at Graceland for Thanksgiving. The Elvis History Blog reports that in the years 1954 and 1956 he performed in concert on the day of thanks. He also...

Riley Keough Claims Fraud, Forged Lisa Marie Presley Signature in Graceland Foreclosure Sale Attempt
Actress Riley Keough is taking the fight to save Graceland — the iconic Memphis home of her grandfather Elvis Presley — to court this week after what she claims is a fraudulent attempt to use her late mother’s forged signature to pass the property over to settle a multi-million dollar debt.

Faced with the imminent death of her beloved mother, Ann, Priscilla Presley was comforted in knowing she was able to give her some peace. Priscilla says she played Elvis Presley‘s gospel music for her mother in her final hours, hoping it would bring her comfort.
Priscilla Presley’s beloved mother, Ann Iverson, died in 2021
In August 2021, Priscilla Presley told People Magazine that she knew her mother had reached the end of her life. Subsequently, she arranged for a religious blessing for Ann.
“I had a priest come in to give her her last rites about four days before she died. He told me, ‘Remember Priscilla, hearing is the last thing that goes, so say positive things for her spirit,'” she revealed.
Priscilla took that advice and played some of her late ex-husband‘s gospel music for her mother. She hoped it would comfort Anne in her final days.

Sofia Coppola's new film "Priscilla" is a biography of Priscilla Presley, based on her own 1985 book "Elvis & Me," which she wrote with Sandra Harmon. Cailee Spaeny plays Priscilla, while Jacob Elordi plays Elvis Presley, the rock star to whom she was married from 1967 to 1973. Infamously, the pair began dating when Priscilla was 14 years old and Elvis was 24. According to /Film's review of "Priscilla," written by Shae Sennett, Coppola is careful to both celebrate their romance while also criticizing Elvis' lascivious behavior. The film seems to look at the high-profile romance between Elvis and Priscilla with extreme ambivalence, incorporating both the exhilaration of dating a handsome rock star at age 14, while acknowledging the unsavory age gap between the two and the demands on Priscilla Presley to maintain a particular public image.

Four months before her death in January, Lisa Marie Presley sent a couple of emails to Sofia Coppola asking her to revise the script for Priscilla, which opens widely on Friday. In one of her messages, she described the screenplay, which tells the story of Lisa Marie’s mom, Priscilla, as “shockingly vengeful and contemptuous,” according to Variety. She reportedly worried that a negative depiction of Elvis would widen the chasm between her and Priscilla and put unneeded pressure on Elvis’ grandchildren after the 2020 death of her son, Benjamin Keough.
