Floor Manager, ATV London, working on every type of studio, film and outside broadcast production. (1979 - 1982) Artistic Director, Blackfriars Theatre, Boston [UK] a much lauded Arts Complex, built around an historic 13th Century Dominican Monastery, complete with a British Film Institute affiliated Cinema, Art Galleries and a BBC satellite studio. Throughout this time, Barry was also a member of the Drama Panel of the Arts Council of Great Britain.
Barry started his career as a teenager, presenting BBC Radio Children's programs with Judith Chalmers
and Violet Carson, later to become known as Coronation Street's "Ena Sharples".
