Kristin Goddard was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa to her parents Robert and Beverly Horner. She grew up in Mason City, Iowa with her two older sisters, Tracy and Heather, both teachers, and a younger brother, Jeff, who coaches basketball. Kristin attended Drake University on a Division 1 basketball scholarship, where she studied in the theater department. After college, Kristin moved to Los Angeles where she met her husband, actor Aaron Goddard, in an acting class. Kristin and Aaron live in Los Angeles with their daughter, Rowyn.
