Richard Ragoobarsingh is an actor from Trinidad and Tobago. He is a native of Arima, Trinidad and is considered to be one of Trinidad's, most prolific and critically acclaimed actors. He is best known as an accomplished stage actor. He has done considerable television work in the form of the soap opera Westwood Park which ran for several years from the late 90s to early 2000,approximately seven seasons.
He also had a small role in the movie Limbo (2010)(Norway) directed by Maria Sodahl.
As a stage actor in Trinidad and Tobago he has won multiple Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards. He is also an acclaimed playwright whose work has won multiple awards in Trinidad and has been performed in the English speaking Caribbean. His most acclaimed play is one titled "Mary Could Dance" which since 1997 has held the record for most awards won by a play in Trinidad and Tobago (10 awards).
