Exclusive: UTA has signed writer and producer Jameel Saleem for representation in all areas.

Currently, Saleem is in his fourth season on the Fox animated series, Bob’s Burgers as a consulting producer after three years of serving as a co-executive producer. He is currently writing an untitled Horror Comedy project for Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s Park County as well as the video game South Park: Snow Day!

Saleem previously wrote on the long-running hit series South Park, created by Stone and Parker, which aired its 26th season earlier this year. His other credits include Matt Groening’s Disenchantment for Netflix and Bill Lawrence’s Whiskey Cavalier for ABC.

Saleem will continue to be represented by his manager, Sheree Guitar, at Sheree Guitar Entertainment and his lawyer Jonathan Shikora from the firm of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler, Feldman and Clark.

Nominations for the 2022 Writers Guild Awards were announced on Thursday, and quite a few members of TV’s freshman class — including Disney+’s Loki, Showtime’s Yellowjackets and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building — found themselves on this year’s list.

HBO Max’s Hacks and FX’s Reservation Dogs were also among the rookies to net multiple nods, while veterans like Succession and The Handmaid’s Tale — both nominated in previous years — are in the running once again.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will executive produce “Trill League,” an animated black superhero show for Quibi, the upcoming mobile-only streaming service from Jeffrey Katzenberg. Quibi announced the new show on Tuesday morning.

“Trill League,” according to Quibi’s release, is a league of black superheroes “tasked with saving the world from monsters, super villains and haters of all kinds” in an “era of social injustice and internet trolls.”

The show is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Anthony Piper, which meshed the three distinct cultures of comic books, anime and hip-hop. “Trill League” is co-created, written and executive produced by Jameel Saleem and Piper, and is being produced by 3 Arts Entertainment and G-Unit Television in association with Lionsgate Television.

Quibi and Lionsgate are teaming with rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson for the animated series Trill League, an adaptation of Anthony Piper’s indie graphic novel and its anime-inflected, hip-hop-informed vision of a black superhero universe.

Jameel Saleem (South Park) and Piper are co-creators and writers of the series, which they will executive produce with Jackson (Power) and 3 Arts Entertainment’s Jermaine Johnson. The series is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment and G-Unit Film & Television in association with Lionsgate Television.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Anthony Piper, “Trill League” combines the worlds of superheroes, anime and hip hop culture. Synopsis for the film: The romantic comedy centers around a man named James (Jameel Saleem) who is evicted from his apartment and forced to move in with his girlfriend of three months, Kim (Kimelia Weathers) and quickly discovers she’s not his type. When he enlists his friend Carville (Quincy ‘QDeezy’ Harris) and Leona (Noelle Balfour) to help him find an exit out of the relationship, things go haywire, as Kim refuses to let her boyfriend leave peacefully.
