Anja Bourdais

Anja Su-Jin Bourdais was born in Frankfurt,Germany to a Korean mother and a German father.
Anja is a German native, speaks fluently French and English and is now taking continuous lessons in Korean, which she masters at a good level (B2) and has just started Spanish too (beginner level). Her special skills are: jazz singing, jazz drumming, dog sports (agility), classical/jazz/tap- dance and taekwondo. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
Anja went to an Ursuline all-girl school and then studied law. After finishing her first law-exam in Mainz in 2000 and prior to her bar-exam she worked in Giessen,Wetzlar. There she went through all practical stages of law, from civil to penal to administrative law- and surprisingly, just a few months later just before taking her bar-exam-she began her musical and acting training in Frankfurt.
After finishing her acting studies, she worked as a guest-actor for two projects at the National Theatre Darmstadt and then went to NYC to complete her studies at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Here she studied with such legendary teachers as George Loros, Geoffrey Horne, Debra Wiley and Robert Castle with whom she still continues to train today. After having returned to Europe, Anja continued her studies in Paris at the Academy Internationale de Comédie Musicale (AICOM) in acting, singing and dancing.
Since then Anja has worked on several TV shows as a guest/episodic-actor on German television and shot several independent movies such as "Schatten des Krieges" as the lead. She has also produced and played the lead in two plays in which the main themes were women in music. She acted alongside the German star Eva Mattes in the play "Liv Stein" and from 2020-2022 starred and produced the German Off Broadway one-woman-show "The Other Mozart" as Nannerl Mozart.
In film and television Anja has worked with the German directors: the late Ulli Lommel and his wife Tatjana Lommel, Frederik Steiner, Holger Gimpel, Peter Ladkani and the American theatre director Bob MacGrath from the Ridge Theater NYC.
She loves to work in Drama, Sci-Fi and Fantasy and has bases outside of Berlin in Seoul, Paris, Madrid, Menorca and London.
