Anne Richardson is an actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker in New York City. She is the writer and director of the award-winning short film I'll Hide, You Seek, which was executive produced by Michael Hausman, Milos Forman's creative producer for over thirty years, including Academy Award-winning Amadeus.
Anne is also a screenwriter with a flair for thrillers. She has written three thrillers for Lifetime, including Baby Obsession, Murder in the Vineyard, and Friends in Deadly Places, with more in development. Her talent has been recognized by Sundance Episodic Writer's Lab, where she was a semi-finalist.
Anne is a member of the Drama Desk and Obie award-winning theatre company, The Barrow Group. She's a Helen Hayes Award nominee for her work in The Cradle Will Rock and a Best Actress nominee for her role in Blindness (Tenerife FF). Anne is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Baylor University, where she studied Theater and History.
As a child of the 80s, Anne's love for cinema began with the Muppet Movie, followed by ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and A Room with a View. In her teens, she was particularly drawn to films like Star Wars, When Harry Met Sally, and every John Hughes film ever made. These films inspired her passion for cathartic stories with rich characters that audiences can relate to.
Anne is passionate about inclusive stories that delve deep into complex human characters and address social justice issues. She believes in the power of cinema to tell stories that can change the world.
