The Dance of the Dead episode of Best Horror Movie You Never Saw was Written by Cody Hamman, Narrated by Jason Hewlett, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Did you ever wonder what it would be like if the zombie apocalypse coincided with prom night? The dead rising from their graves, calling out for brains. Disrupting the school event that’s supposed to be a great, memorable moment in a teen’s life. That’s what happens in the 2008 film Dance of the Dead (watch it Here). Which would have been a great sequel to The Return of the Living Dead if it were part of that franchise. And if you haven’t seen it, it’s definitely The Best Horror Movie You Never Saw.
Although Dance of the Dead was released in 2008, the first draft of the screenplay was written eleven years earlier.

Stars: Jared Kusnitz, Greyson Chadwick, Chandler Darby, Carissa Capobianco, Mark Oliver | Written by Joe Ballarini | Directed by Gregg Bishop
Let me preface this review by saying I originally reviewed the Us DVD of Dance of the Dead way back in in the early days of this site, in early December 2008 to be precise, techincally before Blogomatic3000 even existed! Why the delay between Us and UK DVD releases? I’ve no idea, but it is such a shame that the UK release of one of the best zombie movies of the past 5 years has been delayed so long… Anyway, back to the [updated] review:
Dance of the Dead stars newcomers Jared Kusnitz and Greyson Chadwick as a pair of teens whose prom night is rudely interrupted by a zombie invasion. A cross between a Romero zombie movie and one of John Hughes classic 80’s teen flicks, with a...

Title: Dance of the Dead (2007) Starring Jared Kusnitz, Grayson Chadwick, Chandler Darby, Carissa Capobianco, Randy McDowell, Justin Welborn and Mark Oliver Produced by Bleiberg Entertainment, Bishop Entertainment and Compound B Written by Joe Ballarini Directed by Gregg Bishop Score: Technical: 100, Story: 97, Acting: 99, Overall: 99 When I first found out about Dance of the Dead, I said to myself, “Oh great, another zombie movie.” But once I watched the trailer for it, I actually thought it looked pretty good. When it came to DVD Tuesday, my suspicion and anticipation had grown to a ridiculous level, so I went out and purchased it. Honestly, I’m not horribly upset I did, but I was a tad let down. It’s the night of Coosa High School’s prom, [...]...
