Prosit Roy

Prosit is an Indian writer-director from Mumbai. Upon graduating from Calcutta University, he worked as an Assistant Director on films including Phillauri, Delhi-6, and Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na to name a few. Prosit made his feature directorial debut with the 2018 horror film Pari, starring Anushka Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee. Pari, co-written by Prosit, was produced by Clean Slate Films and garnered massive appreciation for its authentic horror elements. He has also directed ad films for well-known brands like Amazon and P&G's Pampers. More recently, Prosit worked on the widely acclaimed and critically praised Amazon Prime Video crime thriller, Paatal Lok, which won him the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Director for a Series in 2021. His next feature, Chakda 'Xpress, is an official biopic on cricket star Jhulan Goswami for Netflix, starring Anushka Sharma. He is also developing a feature for Applause Entertainment and a series along with writer Abhishek Banerjee.
