Marc-André Lavoie(I)
- Director
- Writer
- Producer
Marc-André Lavoie is an award winning feature filmmaker working between Montreal, Los Angeles and Beijing. Dreaming of cinema since his childhood, Marc-André Lavoie was greatly influenced by the universes of great filmmakers such as Lucas and Spielberg. At the age of 21, with his whole life ahead of him, his own universe collapsed when he was diagnosed with cancer. Literally finding himself on the verge of death, he made a pact with destiny: if he survived, he would dedicate his life to film making. As soon as he was back on his feet, seeking to take advantage of the second chance that he was given, Marc-André went on to write, produce and direct four feature films (Bluff, Tough Luck, Hot Dog and Innocent). He won the best director Award at the CCIFF 2018 for his film Innocent and is in preparation of international projects with strategic partners.
