Rostam Batmanglij was born on 28 November 1983 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA. He is a composer and actor, known for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), I Feel Pretty (2018) and The East (2013).

Parents Mohammad and Najmieh are from Iran. They founded Mage Publishers which is devoted to Persian culture.

Went to the Washington, DC prep school the Potomac School.
