Dane is an independent filmmaker originally from Kailua, Hawaii,
currently living in Los Angeles, California. In Wonderland Films is his
creative initiative to further his filmmaking career but more
importantly to harvest an environment for collaborative filmmaking.
Dane's first film post film school and the first under the In
Wonderland Films' banner, Alice, premiered three years ago at the Trail
Dance Film Festival where it collected an award for Best Dramatic
Narrative Short. In 2005, Dane graduated with honors from Columbia
College Chicago where he studied film directing. After college he
continued his film education as an assistant on the ABC drama, "LOST".
Amidst the chaos of post graduation and a full time production gig, he
produced two short films, the previously mentioned, Alice, and After
Life (loosely based on a feature film script he is hoping to get into
production sometime in 2015). His current film, The Long Love (2014),
an be seen at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in January 2015.
Currently in post production is his most ambitious project to date
called, "Lost Detroit" (2015). An hour long television pilot taking
place in the heart of the struggling yet heartwarmingly prideful city
of Detroit, Michigan. Influences: Terrence Malick, Robert Altman,
Steven Soderbergh, Thom Yorke, Daniel Day-Lewis, Mike Nichols, Martin
Scorsese, Barack Obama, Robert Redford, David Fincher, Andre Agassi,
Spike Lee, Leonardo DiCaprio, P.T. Anderson, John Irving, Charlize
Theron, Joel + Ethan Coen, Roger Deakins, Clint Eastwood, Michaell
