Rhap grew up in Pinamalayan, before relocating to Metro Manila. As an actor, Rhap starred in several movies and TV shows, while simultaneously winning singing competitions. In 2009, he represented the Philippines at the 13th World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles. He won "Junior Grand Champion Performer of the World" and also "Junior Grand Champion Solo Vocalist of the World". In addition to winning the coveted singing awards, Rhap won five gold medals in WCOPA's junior division. Later that year, he performed on The Ellen Show in the United States. He went on to star in his most recognized role of Max in ABS-CBN's "Luv U". After "Luv U", Rhap began singing full time, with performances in both English and Filipino. He continues to perform on ABS-CBN's It's Showtime, including becoming a finalist in It's Showtime's "Tawag ng Tanghalan Celebrity Champions" competition and It's Showtime's "Hide and Sing!". His original songs include "Now or Never" (2014), "Barely Breathing" (2022), and "Won't Change" (2023).
