Cezil Reed is a writer from Northern Virginia who started from rap verses and poetry at 13 to writing screenplays at 18. Constantly the new kid because of either switching schools or getting in fights throughout high school, Cezil easily earned respect by battle rapping . The bar was always set very low, having a father whose main goal was to keep him from dying early or landing in jail.
A tough and unfair run-in with the law still placed Cezil in the bing. It was short but sure not sweet. The kid who was bright and finished his senior year with practically a 4.0 G.P.A became fueled by a mother who believed anything is possible. Cezil embodied that thought and left his hometown soon after to study Film & Video at Columbia College-Chicago.
During his time in Chicago, a new passion emerged: Spanish. During college and after graduating, he spent close to 18 months traveling across Latin America, learning Spanish, living in Buenos Aires, Argentina and becoming heavily influenced by Magical Realism. Keeping to his Virginia roots and DIY outlook, he went back to Virginia to start a production company with his childhood friend, Lydelle Jackson. They transformed years of effort into writing 16 screenplays to date and creating their first feature film, "The Taking": a horror movie that was shot for $13K from the duo's own money.
Cezil & Lydelle later took a crack at comedy and developed a comedic web series where they co-wrote, directed, and produced it. Travel Boobs was endorsed by Steven DeKnight (Spartacus, Daredevil) and David Fury (Lost, Smallville). The two later went on to produce and direct a variety show called "The Milli Show".
The Duo are currently working in LA and have completed their second produced feature, a sci-fi called, "Not Alone," which allows them to explore their passion for extraterrestrials and learning more about VFX.
