He was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2025 King's New Years Honours List for her services to United Kingdom/Brazil collaboration through creative practice. Professor Heritage is the Director of People's Palace Projects; and Professor of Drama and Performance at Queen Mary University in London, England.
