- Born and raised in Los Angeles, California with a unique cultural heritage (Thai/Black), Chris Blount has loved the movies all his life. It is no wonder he decided at the ripe old age of 17, to become an actor and take the craft of acting seriously. Knowing he needed to further his education in order to bring more to his acting skills, Chris attended Pasadena City College for two years, all the while going on auditions and casting calls. He landed a few roles in various TV shows and independent films and worked as a print model, but he knew he needed to learn more about his chosen craft. Chris decided to take a a year off from Hollywood and enrolled in the prestigious New York Film Academy. The tough one year acting-for-film program increased his passion for his chosen career path and lead to a strong determination to succeed in the highly competitive entertainment world. Graduating from NFA lead to a manager and an agent who succeeded in getting Chris more and more roles in film and TV which included "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," "King of Queens," "Big Time Rush," "Everybody Hates Chris" and numerous Independent films. Currently, Chris has a recurring role on "Malibu Dan The Family Man." When he is not studying at his acting classes or running to an audition, Chris loves to travel. From Thailand to Paris, Chris has traveled the world with his Mother and continues to do so. "I absorb a culture when I am in another country and I bring what I learn to my acting," relates Chris who says he would have been an International Airline Pilot if the acting bug hadn't bitten him. "I love to fly!" In what little spare time he has, Chris enjoys working out, reading and watching old Hollywood movies. "I love old Hollywood " he states. "And you could call me an old Hollywood movie buff. I think it is important to study the actors of the past. Their technique, their mannerisms and their approach to the art of acting is something I apply to my craft in today's entertainment world." His goals for the future are simple: "To be a working actor and continue to grow as an actor is all I care about. But I do know that it is important to plan for the future, so I have formed my own production company, Chris Blount Productions, and I am looking for good scripts. Who knows? In the foreseeable future, I may shoot my own Indie film."- IMDb Mini Biography By: FAF Media
