Exclusive: Byron Mann (Wu Assassins), Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us), Ashley Greene (Twilight) and Anson Mount (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) are set to topline Kill Him ‘Til He’s Dead, a sci-fi action film from writer-director Michael Winnick, which has wrapped production. Fivel Stewart (The Recruit) rounds out the cast.

The film follows a broken-down hitman (Mann) who finds himself waking up in different bodies as he tries to save the love of his life (Greene) from a ruthless tech titan (Ventimiglia) and his deadly associates (Mount & Stewart). Originally published in 1918, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ The Land That Time Forgot has inspired multiple adaptations, most notably Kevin Connor’s 1974 film. Now, the story returns to the screen courtesy of The Asylum, who previously tackled the tale in 2009. The fires are still raging in Los Angeles and have spread to other areas, including the Palisades, Hollywood Hills, Eaton, and Kenneth. Ventimiglia shared his raw feelings as he witnessed his home burn down on the security cameras. He called the moment “eery.” Ventimiglia and his wife, Jarah Mariano, evacuated their home on Tuesday, January 7.

The couple was helpless as they watched their family home burn down on the security cameras. Mariano is currently nine months pregnant. They packed up and left with their belongings. Unfortunately, they’re mourning the loss of their marital home, including their new nursery. In a candid interview with CBS Evening News, Ventimiglia returned to the place where his home once stood.

The actor, most known for roles in This Is Us and Gilmore Girls, told CBS News his house burned down after the Palisades Fire swept through their neighborhood. His family evacuated Tuesday and watched on security cameras as the flames took over their home.

“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real and this is happening,’ and then at a certain point, we just turn it off,” he said. “It’s like, what good is it to continue watching, you know. We kind of accepted the loss.”

Mariano and Ventimiglia are also expecting their first child any day now, and the actor said they had the nursery all ready to go for their baby, making the devastation even harder to grasp.

As fires continue to rage around Southern California, Milo Ventimiglia is one of many to lose his home in the tragedy.

After evacuating with his family on Tuesday, the 3x Emmy nominee opened up about the “heavy” experience of losing their home in the Malibu Fire while surveying the damage, noting “it hits you so quick” as he choked up.

“You start thinking about all the memories in the different parts of the house and whatnot,” said Ventimiglia on CBS Evening News. “Then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around, and your heart just breaks.”

He noted that he and wife Jarah Mariano saw the fire consume their home on security cameras.

“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real, and this is happening,'” he explained. “And then at a certain point, we just turned it off. What good is it to continue watching?...

Milo Ventimiglia’s family home in Malibu has burnt down, the actor shared on Thursday night.

During an interview with CBS News, the “This Is Us” star shared that he and his wife, Jarah Mariano, who is currently nine months pregnant, evacuated their home on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and then watched the Palisades Fire take over through security cameras.

While the couple took as many belongings as possible, they had to leave behind the items in their recently finished nursery and left everything there. On Thursday, he visited returned to the area to see where his home once stood.

“[It’s] heavy,” he said, holding back tears. “You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and whatnot, and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks.”

In the video interview, he also opened up about watching it all happen from afar.

Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company are in preparation for production on “I Can Only Imagine 2,” a sequel to the breakout hit “I Can Only Imagine.”

The 2018 film took in over $83 million at the domestic box office. The sequel will be directed by Brent McCorkle and Andrew Erwin from a screenplay written by McCorkle.

“I Can Only Imagine 2” will continue the inspirational true story of Bart Millard, once again played by John Michael Finley. Other returning cast members include Dennis Quaid, reprising his role as Arthur, and Trace Adkins, who returns as MercyMe manager Scott Brickell. Milo Ventimiglia joins the cast in a new role as singer/songwriter Tim Timmons.

Producers of the film include Kevin Downes, Erwin, Cindy Bond, Millard, Daryl Lefever and Joshua Walsh.

It comes after he starred in ABC drama series The Company You Keep, which ran for one season. His production company Divide Pictures, which he runs with Russ Cundiff, produced that series and has sold a slew of projects to networks and streamers. Divide has a deal at 20th Television.

Ventimiglia is best known for starring in NBC drama series This Is Us, which ran for six seasons and over 100 episodes. In addition to play Jack Pearson, a character that helped him score three Emmy nominations, he also directed a number of episodes.

He recently starred in the feature film Land of Bad, opposite Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth and led Disney film The Art of Racing in the Rain, an adaptation of the novel by Garth Stein.

Not letting the success of Ape vs Monster go to waste The Asylum is back with Ape vs. Mecha Ape. This time they’ve brought in Marc Gottlieb to write and direct. While it’s only his second feature, the other was Cousin Howard back in 1995, and the first one for The Asylum he’s written several scripts for them including Jungle Run, 2025 Armageddon, and Aquarium of the Dead. Can he kick the franchise into gear after its dismal first film?

Ape vs. Mecha Ape opens with a chemical weapons plant that looks like an old warehouse being attacked by what looks like the giant ape Abraham. A few explosions later we see that it’s actually a giant, well-armed, robot which makes short work of the plant’s security.

A sequel to 2021’s Ape vs. Monster, which served as a “mockbuster” take on Godzilla vs. Kong, The Asylum has just unleashed their latest creature feature: Ape vs. Mecha Ape.

Starring Tom Arnold, the kaiju-sized fight film is now available on VOD outlets.

In director Marc Gottlieb‘s Ape vs. Mecha Ape, “Recognizing the destructive power of its captive giant Ape, the military makes its own battle-ready A.I., Mecha Ape. But its first practical test goes horribly wrong, leaving the military no choice but to release the imprisoned giant ape to stop the colossal robot before it destroys downtown Chicago.”

Jack Pearson, Anna Telfer and Xander Bailey also star.

Before he became associated with his fan-favorite Gilmore Girls character Jess Mariano, Milo Ventimiglia appeared in one episode of the Saved By The Bell spin-off, The New Class. Although only two original characters were part of this series, including Screech Powers (Dustin Diamond) and Richard Belding (Dennis Hawkins), a few now-famous stars had small roles, including Gabrielle Union and James Marsden. These characters may not have been as fleshed out as the main cast, but they still held significance for the show's relatable high school plotlines.

Around the time of his Saved By The Bell: The New Class role, Ventimiglia appeared on other teen series The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and a few years later, played a boarding school student on the short-lived The Opposite Sex. Ventimiglia portrayed Peter Petrelli in the superpowered series, which focused on seemingly ordinary people who discover that they possess extraordinary abilities. It was the actor's second-biggest role television role at the time, following his Gilmore Girls stint as Jess Mariano. But, despite two leading portrayals in very popular dramas, Ventimiglia admits that he struggled to find work once Heroes ended.

In an interview with Variety, Ventimiglia talked about how he considered walking away from Hollywood because he couldn't get a job. The comments came in the context of promoting his upcoming show, The Company You Keep, and Ventimiglia talks about how he began to doubt whether he was making the right decision by remaining an actor.
