Milo Ventimiglia is the latest celebrity to lose his home to the Los Angeles wildfire. He saw a connection between this devastating loss and a similar tragedy his character on This Is Us went through.
Los Angeles Wildfire
The fires are still raging in Los Angeles and have spread to other areas, including the Palisades, Hollywood Hills, Eaton, and Kenneth. Ventimiglia shared his raw feelings as he witnessed his home burn down on the security cameras. He called the moment “eery.” Ventimiglia and his wife, Jarah Mariano, evacuated their home on Tuesday, January 7.
The couple was helpless as they watched their family home burn down on the security cameras. Mariano is currently nine months pregnant. They packed up and left with their belongings. Unfortunately, they’re mourning the loss of their marital home, including their new nursery. In a candid interview with CBS Evening News, Ventimiglia returned to the place where his home once stood.

Although Ventimiglia noted that what mattered most was that his wife and dog were safe, it is heartbreaking for the actor anyway. Especially as his wife is due to give birth in just a few days. Fortunately, Milo Ventimiglia’s determination to move forward from the situation has not wavered.
A big credit of it he gave to his friends, and the people he works with. Another thing that must have come in handy is the millions of dollars of net worth that he has acquired throughout his career.

Milo Ventimiglia shared that he and his pregnant wife, Jarah Mariano, have lost their Malibu home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The actor, most known for roles in This Is Us and Gilmore Girls, told CBS News his house burned down after the Palisades Fire swept through their neighborhood. His family evacuated Tuesday and watched on security cameras as the flames took over their home.
“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real and this is happening,’ and then at a certain point, we just turn it off,” he said. “It’s like, what good is it to continue watching, you know. We kind of accepted the loss.”
Mariano and Ventimiglia are also expecting their first child any day now, and the actor said they had the nursery all ready to go for their baby, making the devastation even harder to grasp.

Once This Is Us revealed that Milo Ventimiglia's Jack Pearson was dead in the present timeline, it was only a matter of time before viewers learned the details surrounding his death, and one season 2 episode held all the answers. The NBC drama television series premiered on September 20, 2016, and was an immediate hit, thanks to its nonlinear storytelling, well-crafted twists, excellent performances, and pathos. While the show evoked many emotions over the course of its six-season run, one of the most heartbreaking and mysterious storylines revolved around Jack's death since he was a beloved and significant character.
The series premiere's ending revealed that Kevin, Kate, and Randall were Jack and Rebecca's kids. But beforehand, the episode made the audience believe that Rebecca giving birth and the Big Three celebrating their 36th birthday were happening during the same time period. Viewers may have thought nothing else could shock them more following the pilot.

War of the Worlds: Extinction is a followup to The Asylum’s 2021 film War of the Worlds: Annihilation, but in the opening montage, however, the film flips the script entirely, revealing that rather than Earth being invaded it was us doing the invading, attacking and trying to colonize the planet Emios after we made Earth uninhabitable.

They can be goofy. They can be cool. They can be stern. They can be wise. In the 60 years since programs like “Father Knows Best” and “Leave It to Beaver” dominated the airwaves, television dads have changed some, but continue to bring us some of television’s funniest and most poignant moments.
Over the years, dads like Ward Cleaver (“Leave it to Beaver”), Mike Brady (“The Brady Bunch”) and Howard Cunningham (“Happy Days”) have dispensed sound advice and doled out stern but gentle discipline when needed. Exclusive: Milo Ventimiglia, star of This is Us and Heroes, has new representation.
The actor has signed with WME. He was previously repped by Verve.
It comes after he starred in ABC drama series The Company You Keep, which ran for one season. His production company Divide Pictures, which he runs with Russ Cundiff, produced that series and has sold a slew of projects to networks and streamers. Divide has a deal at 20th Television.
Ventimiglia is best known for starring in NBC drama series This Is Us, which ran for six seasons and over 100 episodes. In addition to play Jack Pearson, a character that helped him score three Emmy nominations, he also directed a number of episodes.
He recently starred in the feature film Land of Bad, opposite Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth and led Disney film The Art of Racing in the Rain, an adaptation of the novel by Garth Stein.

Justin Hartley’s former hit series This Is Us was a huge hit. The drama was beloved by millions of people. However, his wife, Blood & Treasure star Sofia Pernas has a surprising response to her husband’s previous show.
On the eve of her guest appearance on Tracker, what did Pernas have to say about her husband’s former series?

Do all the touchdown dances you want, but know that there’s at least person — aside from, uh, the San Francisco 49ers — for whom Super Bowl Sunday carries the acrid tang of dreams gone up in smoke.
On her Instagram Story Sunday night, Mandy Moore made a joke that referenced a pivotal episode of her NBC series This Is Us. The account Midwest vs. Everybody posted a photo of eight slow cookers, deeming the appliance “The real Mvp of Super Bowl Sunday.” Underneath, Moore — who played mama Rebecca on the show — added: “Not in the Pearson household.”

Character departures are inevitable for most shows.
That doesn't mean we have to like them. Sometimes, a character has to go because it's necessary for the story.
Other times, the actor moves on to a new role, and the character can't continue without them.
Now and then, a character's time on a show comes to an end in a way that leaves us brokenhearted and feeling betrayed by the writers.
These exits took us by surprise, and not in a good way.
Alex Karev's Dear John Letters on Grey's Anatomy
If you ask us, Alex Karev had one of the best character glow-ups of all time, with the kind of character development we can normally only dream about. His transformation from snarky, too-cool-for-school jock to the mature, brilliant man he became was one for the ages.

It goes without saying that Milo Ventimiglia is a huge star considering he portrayed some of our favorite heartthrobs onscreen. From his early roles as Jess Mariano in "Gilmore Girls" and Peter Petrelli in "Heroes," to his most recent ones as Jack Pearson in "This Is Us" and Charlie Nicoletti in "The Company You Keep," Ventimiglia has never had any problem acting out romance on screen. He's a bit more reserved with his personal life, however.
The 46-year-old actor usually shies away from talking about his love life publicly, and he told People why in a 2017 interview, explaining, "I try to minimize myself so people can see the character and can really dive into the work."
Still, Ventimiglia has had a few (and we mean very few) high-profile romances over the years. Like many other celebrities before him, he's mixed business with pleasure on two occasions by falling for his costars,...

The Pearson family is at the heart of "This Is Us," and the show revolves around the lives of Jack, Rebecca, Kevin, Kate, and Randall. The show's success lies in its heartfelt and surprising storytelling, jaw-dropping performances, and ability to connect with the audience. Jack's death and its aftermath have a profound effect on the rest of the Pearsons as they struggle with grief and healing throughout their lives.
The Pearson family is the heart of This Is Us, and the (mostly) tight-knit group spans multiple generations over the course of the six-season television series. The plot twist at the end of the NBC drama's pilot episode revealed that the show would jump around between numerous timelines as it told the story of the Pearsons. Although the series featured around 16 family members throughout its six seasons and 106 episodes, the most significant ones were undoubtedly Jack, Rebecca, Kevin, Kate, and Randall.

There’s a sweet, full-circle moment in the Breeders series finale on FX that wouldn’t have been possible without the rage, narcissism, and dereliction of Paul Worsley (Martin Freeman) these past four seasons. After years of dissecting and addressing the very worst traits of fatherhood, it’s a well-earned payoff that not many — if any — other series have accomplished.
The world is full of bad TV fathers, thanks to the one-dimensional Frank Gallaghers and Homer Simpsons out there. It’s also rife with aspirational TV Land dads like Jack Pearson or Philip Banks. But where are the complicated dads? The ones who try their best but continuously fail? Who are ready to give up? Those who represent the real-life complexities of modern-day fatherhood and all of the exhaustion, anger, love, and existential questions that come with it?...

Milo Ventimiglia as Jack — (Photo by: NBC) Over the course of its six seasons, This Is Us followed the members of the Pearson family across the better part of a century. With its flashbacks and flash-forwards, the show was able to tell stories about childhood, parenthood, and American family relationships through several different eras, tackling some pretty tough issues about life, love, and mortality along the way. Though the show became a significant cultural force during its run (2016-2022), the average viewership was only about 13 million viewers, which means there are plenty of potential new viewers discovering the show through streaming. Assuming they haven’t gotten any spoilers, what can they expect? Milo Ventimiglia, who starred on the show as Jack Pearson, talked to us about the kinds of things viewers have taken away from watching This Is Us. Lance Cushing a former combat engineer and search and rescue expert is called in to help get them out. He brings his fiance Katherine who is a seismologist along. It’s a good thing he did because it looks like there’s going to be some massive aftershocks, but her so far unproven “Dispersal Theory” might be able to protect what’s left of The White House from them. Not letting the success of Ape vs Monster go to waste The Asylum is back with Ape vs. Mecha Ape. This time they’ve brought in Marc Gottlieb to write and direct. While it’s only his second feature, the other was Cousin Howard back in 1995, and the first one for The Asylum he’s written several scripts for them including Jungle Run, 2025 Armageddon, and Aquarium of the Dead. Can he kick the franchise into gear after its dismal first film?
Ape vs. Mecha Ape opens with a chemical weapons plant that looks like an old warehouse being attacked by what looks like the giant ape Abraham. A few explosions later we see that it’s actually a giant, well-armed, robot which makes short work of the plant’s security.

A sequel to 2021’s Ape vs. Monster, which served as a “mockbuster” take on Godzilla vs. Kong, The Asylum has just unleashed their latest creature feature: Ape vs. Mecha Ape.
Starring Tom Arnold, the kaiju-sized fight film is now available on VOD outlets.
In director Marc Gottlieb‘s Ape vs. Mecha Ape, “Recognizing the destructive power of its captive giant Ape, the military makes its own battle-ready A.I., Mecha Ape. But its first practical test goes horribly wrong, leaving the military no choice but to release the imprisoned giant ape to stop the colossal robot before it destroys downtown Chicago.”
Jack Pearson, Anna Telfer and Xander Bailey also star.
Could be fun, could be terrible. Watch the Ape vs. Mecha Ape trailer below.

Before he became associated with his fan-favorite Gilmore Girls character Jess Mariano, Milo Ventimiglia appeared in one episode of the Saved By The Bell spin-off, The New Class. Although only two original characters were part of this series, including Screech Powers (Dustin Diamond) and Richard Belding (Dennis Hawkins), a few now-famous stars had small roles, including Gabrielle Union and James Marsden. These characters may not have been as fleshed out as the main cast, but they still held significance for the show's relatable high school plotlines.
Around the time of his Saved By The Bell: The New Class role, Ventimiglia appeared on other teen series The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and a few years later, played a boarding school student on the short-lived The Opposite Sex. However, Milo Ventimiglia's best-rated performances remain his romantic leads, from Jess to Jack Pearson on This Is Us.

No relation to the anime of the same name or the Don Bluth film Titan A.E. for that matter, this Attack on Titan is – you guessed it – another creatively titled film from The Asylum. This one justifies its title by having a rebel faction on Saturn’s moon Titan object to Earth’s deal with the government to harvest water crystals. Since they launch an attack on us, the film, whose original title, Alien Space Battle, still appears in the end credits would be more accurately called Attack from Titan. But that just doesn’t sound the same.

Oh, baby. I think ABC has another hit on its hands, and it comes in the form of another sudsy primetime drama with the venerable Milo Ventimiglia as the head of the ship.
The Company You Keep is like a fascinating twist on Romeo and Juliet, which, as we know, saw the children of two feuding families falling in love. Here, these families aren't feuding (yet), but their children are undoubtedly embarking on a clandestine relationship that has all the makings for a tragic end.
But let's not worry about the ending right now, when things are just beginning, and everything is oh, so sweet. Instead, let's dive into The Company You Keep Season 1 Episode 1, a pilot that makes a strong case for this series to be the latest addition to your must-watch list.

Before “This Is Us,” Milo Ventimiglia’s major roles felt of one voice. There’s Jess Mariano, the troubled young rebel on “Gilmore Girls”; Peter Petrelli, a tortured nurse struggling to control his powers in “Heroes”; Robert Balboa, Rocky’s son who’s stuck in his father’s shadow, even when he doesn’t know who he is without it. Ventimiglia’s specialty was playing the bewildered bad boy with a good heart, and whether it was a woman (like Rory), a calling (like Hiro’s), or a father (like Rocky), he just needed one thing to go right for the rest of his life to fall into place. In other words, he was the guy someone looked at and thought, “I can fix him” — and they were usually right.

Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia explains why he nearly quit acting once the NBC show ended. Ventimiglia portrayed Peter Petrelli in the superpowered series, which focused on seemingly ordinary people who discover that they possess extraordinary abilities. It was the actor's second-biggest role television role at the time, following his Gilmore Girls stint as Jess Mariano. But, despite two leading portrayals in very popular dramas, Ventimiglia admits that he struggled to find work once Heroes ended.
In an interview with Variety, Ventimiglia talked about how he considered walking away from Hollywood because he couldn't get a job. The comments came in the context of promoting his upcoming show, The Company You Keep, and Ventimiglia talks about how he began to doubt whether he was making the right decision by remaining an actor. Here is his full response below:

It’s tough being a liar but that’s a fitting, albeit short, description of Milo Ventimiglia‘s new character. The actor takes a sharp left turn from perfect dad Jack Pearson on This Is Us to play con man Charlie Nicoletti in the new ABC series, The Company You Keep, premiering February 19. In the series, which comes from Ventimiglia’s Tk production company, viewers will meet Charlie, a career criminal working cons big and small with his family. “[Charlie’s] someone who was born into this life, never chose the life, but he happens to be really good at this life,” Ventimiglia tells us recently. But what happens when that criminal falls for a CIA agent (Catherine Haena Kim), who, unbeknownst to Charlie, has to do her own share of lying in her work? “You could say they both lie for a living,” Kim says. “They just have different ways of justifying it.

Milo Ventimiglia was looking to change things up after six seasons on NBC’s “This is Us” — both physically and professionally.
He found that opportunity with the upcoming ABC series “ The Company You Keep”, a high-stakes romance story that’s a remake of a Korean drama, “My Fellow Citizens”.
Ventimiglia plays Charlie, a successful and stylish con artist who needs to pay off a large debt to a dangerous man. He meets a CIA agent named Emma (Catherine Haena Kim). Each tries to keep their identity from the other while their entanglement grows as they face external dangers because of their jobs.

After six years of heartstring-pulling as This Is Us’ beloved (but tragic) patriarch Jack Pearson, Milo Ventimiglia could have chosen to take a nice break from working. Instead, he did the exact opposite in The Company You Keep. “I just wanted to go faster on the gas. I didn’t want to stop at all,” he says, laughing. Tempted to take on multiple projects in development at his Divide Pictures, he was most drawn to the role of The Company You Keep’s Charlie Nicoletti, a skilled con artist working with his grifter family but looking to go straight. “Charlie is very different from Jack Pearson, but there are some similarities in who they are as men looking out for their families,” Ventimiglia says. “[Charlie] is a criminal, but he’s a good bad guy. You’re rooting for him.” Here, the actor tells us more. The Nicolettis are definitely not the Pearsons,...
