Like many horror fans, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Luke Bramley, and Raynor Shima love The Evil Dead. The only difference is that they took their love of the film one step further, recreated the movie in 60 seconds, and unleashed it on the world today. We now have the video to share with our readers and they’ve provided us with the official poster.
“Five young friends journey into a cabin in the woods, where they stumble upon the “Book of the Dead”. Unleashing an evil force that turns each other into demonic beings. We are Huge “Evil Dead” fans, so we took the chance to recreate Sam Raimi’s incredible horror masterpiece. Recreated by Gigi Saul Guerrero, Luke Bramley, and Raynor Shima”

I'm a little late on posting the list this week (I usually hit you with it on Sunday), but didn't want to miss my next-to-last pre-Thanksgiving chance to say "Gobble, Gobble! Motherfucker!" (Thankskilling, see below) again. Below the jump you'll find the full list of titles arriving in-stores this week in our weekly version of the famous Fangoria Chopping List.

Basement Jack
Karen Cook was your average high school student... until the night evil invaded her life. She would soon be known as the lone survivor of a seven-day killing spree perpetrated by a seventeen year old boy the world would come to call "Basement Jack". For the next eleven years, Karen Cook lived in fear that one day Basement Jack would be released. Then, a court hearing in 2006 found that Jack Riley had not received a...

Ryan Nicholson of Plotdigger Films gave Fango the first look at the DVD cover art for his extreme gruefest Hanger (pictured), now set to hit disc November 17 from the new Breaking Glass company on their Vicious Circle genre label. He also informed us of his plans for an official release of his underground Internet flick Torched, and passed on the art for that one as well.
Hanger stars Nathan Dashwood, Dan Ellis and Fangoria Radio’s Debbie Rochon and centers on the revenge for a botched abortion meted out by the grown-up object of that operation; we previously revealed the specs for the DVD here. Torched, previously available only on bootleg or edited discs, is fully restored on Plotdigger’s DVD, which comes out Nov. 24. The bloody saga of a nurse giving fiery payback to those who raped her will be presented in 16x9-enhanced widescreen with Dolby 5.1 Surround and 2.0 stereo soundtracks,...

With Evil Feed, the sequel to Live Feed (pictured) now in preproduction at Plotdigger Films, it’s clear that writer/director Ryan Nicholson has officially conquered the need for sleep. With Hanger (see last item here) in the can and on the way to festivals, he’s now aiming for an ambitious May start date—and that’s not the only thing that’s ambitious about his new project.
Working with a much higher budget than his previous offerings and more complex stuntwork, Nicholson and his gang might really mean it this time when they say Evil Feed will be something we haven’t seen before. This continuation of the story and concepts behind Live Feed, Nicholson’s feature debut, tells the story of a martial arts team that is duped into participating in gladiatorial combat. Of course, this being a Plotdigger opus, characters will die in the most gruesome...

Co-producer Dan Walton sent along the latest poster for Hanger, the third feature directed by makeup FX artist Ryan Nicholson after Live Feed and the recently released Gutterballs. You can see it below the cut.
Scripted by Nicholson and Patrick Coble, Hanger stars Debbie Rochon of Fango Radio, Nathan Dashwood, Dan Ellis, Ronald Patrick Thompson, Wade Gibb, Alastair Gamble and Candice Lewald in the story of an attempted abortion that goes horribly wrong: The surviving baby grows up to be a badly scarred killer who sets out for bloody revenge. Check out our previous set report on the movie (with exclusive pics) here and Hanger’s MySpace page here.

In their follow-up to Gutterballs (coming on Tla DVD in January), moviemaker Ryan Nicholson and Plotdigger Films move away from the sterile bowling-alley environment and get down and dirty with Hanger. The movie just finished shooting in Surrey, BC, Canada (40 minutes from Vancouver).
The titular protagonist (pictured left, and played by Gutterballs’ Nathan Dashwood; see more exclusive pics below) is so named due to the horrifying manner in which he was birthed: with a wire coat hanger. Horribly disfigured as a result, he cuts a bloody path of revenge until he gets to the one who brought him into this world.
A Fango set visit finds writer (with Patrick Coble) and director Nicholson taking a break from his other job as a makeup FX artist (most recently on the Sci Fi channel’s Troglodyte), but this is anything but a rest. Working with a much shorter shooting schedule than his...
