Rafael Lessa is a New-York based Latinx writer, director, and producer with over 10 years of experience working for players such as Amazon, Netflix, and Globo. His work was screened in Berlin, Locarno, and Venice festivals. He transitions between commercially successful TV projects and artistically relevant films on the international stage. A graduate of Columbia and USC film schools, Rafael is the head writer and co-executive producer for season 1 of the show "Lov3" (Amazon Prime Video), which won the Brazilian Writer's Association award for best comedy series. He also wrote seasons 1 and 2 of "Samantha!", a Netflix original series, and most recently wrote the feature film "Rule 34," Golden Leopard winner at the Locarno Film Festival.
