We were hoping Deadpool & Wolverine might get a final trailer and, while much of the movie is still being kept under wraps (and rightly so), Marvel Studios has today pulled back the curtain on some big surprises.
The sneak peek delivers plenty of hints about what's to come, focusing on what looks to be a redemption arc for this Wolverine Variant. We also get an intriguing glimpse at Cassandra Nova's plans for the Multiverse and heaps of Easter Eggs for MCU fans to get excited about.
Oh, and the return of Logan star Dafne Keen as X-23, of course!
In this feature, we're taking a deep dive into the footage to explore that and more. You can check out this Deadpool & Wolverine trailer breakdown in full by clicking the "Next"/"View List" button below.

The Bear has to be one of the best series ever created. The FX comedy-drama series is intense, funny, tragic, and has some of the most beautiful-looking food I’ve ever seen. Created by Christopher Storer, The Bear follows the story of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, an award-winning working in one of the best restaurants in the United States, as he moves back to Chicago to run his family-owned sandwich shop after a tragic incident. The Bear aired its third season recently, and I’m happy to say that the series is getting better with every new season. We are also happy that The Bear was renewed for a fourth season ahead of its Season 3 premiere. The Bear stars Jeremy Allen White in the lead role, with Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, Jon Bernthal, Oliver Platt, L-Boy, and Edwin Lee Gibson starring in supporting. So, if you love The Bear’s intensity,...

Just like a prayer, the latest trailer for the highly anticipated "Deadpool & Wolverine" arrived this morning, showing off even more of Wade Wilson's first entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If bringing the R-rated Merc with a Mouth into the Marvel Studios world wasn't enough, with all the naughtiness that entails, surely Hugh Jackman picking up Wolverine's claws again will seal the deal.
Of course, since "Deadpool & Wolverine" is bringing the characters from 20th Century Fox's universe of Marvel movies into the MCU, there are even more recognizable faces who will be popping up. Along with reports of Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra and the appearance of Pyro in the first trailer for the movie, the latest batch of footage shows off some returning characters from previous "X-Men" movies. Perhaps even more interesting is where those characters appear in the trailer, especially when it comes...

The film is directed and co-written by Burrell (who also stars), and Andrew Ladd, also stars Chelsea Conwright and Jadyn Wong. Weak Layers will arrive in theaters in top 50 markets and in select mountain towns on January 5, and on VOD on February 6, 2024.

Love can be beautiful, but it can also be an absolute mess. In the trailer for the new rom-com "Somebody I Used to Know," released Jan. 12, Alison Brie plays Ally, who heads back into her past and reconnects with her ex-boyfriend Sean, played by Jay Ellis. Just when she thinks they might be falling for each other again and she can redo her past mistakes, she learns he's getting married to his girlfriend Cassidy, played by Kiersey Clemons. And to make things more interesting, it seems both of the spouses-to-be start feeling some deep attraction for Ally in the days leading up to their wedding. If this is the first mainstream rom-com to end in a throuple, we wouldn't be mad, but we'll have to wait for the full thing to see.
"Somebody I Used to Know" is written by Brie and her husband, Dave Franco, who also serves as director.

A woman grieving her husband's death, an eerie, identical house in the woods with a reversed floor plan, and an entity hellbent on dragging a living person to the realm of death. These are the essential ingredients in David Bruckner's psychological horror, "The Night House," which, when combined, leads to a terrifying tale about grief, loss, and emotional trauma.
There are several reasons why Brucker's tale is haunting, which include a meticulous dedication to creating a tense atmosphere and sound design within a setting meant to confuse and disorient. However, the effectiveness of "The Night House" would be incomplete without the mechanics of the titular house, which becomes the site of horror for the protagonist, Beth (Rebecca Hall).
After Beth loses her husband, Owen (Evan Jonigkeit), to suicide, she experiences jarring supernatural events inside her beautiful, secluded home, which Owen had built for the both of them. Amid unaccounted time gaps,...

Director David Bruckner's "The Night House" wasn't buried at the box office so much as it had the misfortune of arriving at a point in 2021 when theaters were struggling to continue their recovery from their pandemic-era lows one year prior. However, it's a horror film that very much merits your attention, all the more so if you're curious about what to expect from Bruckner's incoming "Hellraiser" movie.
Rebecca Hall, who's exceptional as ever here, stars in "The Night House" as Beth, a high school teacher who's reeling in the wake of her husband Owen's (Evan Jonigkeit) death by suicide. The movie begins as a tale of existential despair as Beth grieves the loss of Owen and is left to wonder if the life she thought they had was just one big lie. But as eerie stuff starts to happen around her house and she discovers her husband may have been hiding some dark,...

David Prior's 2020 film "The Empty Man" opens with a prologue that could easily stand alone as one of the most chilling short films ever made. It's 1995, and two couples -- Paul (Aaron Poole) and Ruthie (Virginia Kull), Fiona (Jessica Matten) and Greg (Evan Jonigkeit) -- are hiking through the Ura Valley in Bhutan. After crossing an old, swaying suspension bridge across a yawning chasm, Paul hears a soft sound like someone blowing into an empty bottle. Curious, he wanders off across the mountaintop in search of the source of this sound. As the others watch, he slips through an unseen hole in the rocks and disappears, as though he was never there at all.
It's another twenty minutes before the title card of the movie appears, stylized as "The Em ty Man." By this point, all of the hikers are dead except for Paul, who is trapped in a different kind of hell.

All the Old Knives (Janus Metz Pedersen)
All the Old Knives wants you to sweat and swoon in equal measure. Playing in the same tried and true sandbox as some of the great espionage thrillers before it, director Janus Metz Pedersen’s adaptation of Olen Steinhaur’s 2015 novel traffics in all necessary trappings of its genre. Between the clandestine correspondence and popped peacoat collars against wet European streets, it’s certainly not shy about cinematic crushes. This infatuation is wholly appropriate, because––chilly demeanor notwithstanding––All the Old Knives is a burning romantic at heart. – Conor O. (full review)

“Archive 81” will not receive a second season on Netflix, TheWrap has learned.
The series, from creator Rebecca Sonnenshine, starred Mamoudou Athie as video archivist Dan Turner, who was restoring tapes in the present, originally shot by Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi) in 1994 at the mysterious Visser apartment building.
In different timelines, both Dan and Melody uncover disturbing secrets about a destructive, demon-worshipping cult.
The series, which costarred Martin Donovan, Evan Jonigkeit, Julia Chan, Ariana Neal and Matt McGorry, was loosely inspired by the podcast of the same name.
Sonnenshine created the series and served as showrunner and executive producer. James Wan and Michael Clear of Atomic Monster also executive produced with Rebecca Thomas, Antoine Douaihy and Paul Harris Boardman.
The series, which debuted in January, ended on a cliffhanger that left Dan’s fate up in the air.

Archive 81 will not be back on Netflix for another season.
According to Deadline, the streaming service has canceled the horror drama after just one season.
The series drew decent reviews and charted on both the Nielsen Streaming Chart and Netflix's own top 10.
Archive 81 followed archivist Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie), who takes a job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994.
Reconstructing the work of a documentary filmmaker named Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi), he is drawn into her investigation of a dangerous cult at the Visser apartment building.
As the season unfolds across these two timelines, Dan slowly finds himself obsessed with uncovering what happened to Melody.
When the two characters form a mysterious connection, Dan becomes convinced he can save her from the terrifying end she met 25 years ago.
The series is an original story loosely inspired by the popular podcast of the same name.

This article contains spoilers for Archive 81.
Like all great horror stories, Netflix’s Archive 81 starts off small.
Film conservator Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie) is approached by a mysterious corporate benefactor, Virgil Davenport (Martin Donovan) to restore some tapes from the ‘90s. Somehow this simple job escalates into a pulse-pounding supernatural mystery that incorporates a Roaring Twenties era demonic cult, mold that bends time and space, and an honest-to-goodness Lovecraftian horror.
It’s easy to see why Archive 81 has caught on with viewers. The show spent several days in the number one spot on Netflix’s “Top Ten” feature before Ozark bumped it down to two. This story, based on a podcast of the same name, slowly unspools into something properly huge. By the time Dan wakes up in the ‘90s in the final moments of season 1 to watch MTV’s Kurt Loder announce Kurt Cobain’s death,...

‘Archive 81’ Star Dina Shihabi on That Family Secret, How Melody and Dan Could Connect in a Season 2
Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the finale of Netflix’s “Archive 81.”
Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi) spends the majority of the first season of Netflix’s “Archive 81” separated from the show’s other key characters, given that the camcorder-toting Visser resident’s story takes place in the ’90s and her work is being studied in the present day by archivist Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie).
But in the final moments of the “Archive 81” Season 1 finale, Melody becomes a literal blast from the past, as she is dragged through a portal from The Otherworld dimension she has been trapped in for decades by cult-leader Samuel (Evan Jonigkeit) and falls out in front of her long-lost mother, Julia Bennett/Bobbi (Jacqueline Antaramian), and Dan’s best friend, Mark (Matt McGorry). Samuel suspiciously doesn’t come through with her and Dan is nowhere to be seen,...
