Larry Chance and the Earls were a popular recording group from the
1960s formed in The Bronx, New York. Their first hit, "Life is But A
Dream" (1961), was followed by "Remember Then" (1962), their biggest hit and one that charted nationally. These were followed by "Lookin' For My Baby", "Never (Fall In Love Again)", "I Believe", "Eyes" and "Young Boy Blues".
During the 1960s The Earls played many dates in the New York area, especially in the North Bronx and Westchester (such places as The Riviera Lounge, Club Maxim's and The Royal Casino, among others). As the oldies revival scene started a strong run in the early 1970s and 1980s, the group became one of the most requested of the "Doo Wop" genre. They still actively perform and remain very popular on the oldies circuit, appearing at many charity venues as well.
