Ilja Roomans is producer for Docmakers, a collective of award winning filmmakers based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She has 20+ years of experience producing both national productions and international co-productions. She is a member of the EAVE Producers Network, the Documentary Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a board member of the Dutch Academy For Film. Recent films include The Propagandist (2024) by Luuk Bouwman, winner of the IDFA Best Dutch Film Award 2024, Where Dragons Live (2024) by Suzanne Raes and Master of Light (2022) by Rosa Ruth Boesten, 3 Emmy nominations and multiple festival winner (including SXSW Best Documentary Feature Award 2022).
