Mick Mullins(I)

Michael J. Mullins (aka Mick Mullins) began his music career as a backing vocalist for the 1980's multi-hit band Modern Romance. He appeared on their first studio album ''Adventures in Clubland'' (1981) and their single ''By the Way (I'm Still in Love with You)'' (1981). In 1982, Mullins replaced Geoff Deane as lead vocalist, after the latter quit the band.

During his time with Modern Romance, Mullins enjoyed two hit UK albums

• ''Trick of the Light'' (1983) and ''Party Tonight'' (1983) - and four

top-ten and top-twenty singles: ''Best Years of Our Lives'' (1982), ''High Life'' (1983), ''Don't Stop That Crazy Rhythm'' (1983), and ''Walking in the Rain'' (1983). He also shared in two other minor hits with the band - ''Good Friday'' (1983) and ''Best Mix of Our Lives'' (1985) - before leaving Modern Romance.

Mullins then became a backing vocalist for Cliff Richard and appeared on the hit single ''Mistletoe & Wine'' (1988). He has since continued to tour with Cliff Richard, as well as providing both lead and backing vocals for The Alan Parsons Project.
