Caroline Manzo, who starred in the reality TV show Real Housewives of New Jersey and was a part of the reality event Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, has filed a lawsuit against Bravo network, alleging that they allowed her co-star Brandi Glanville to commit “acts of sexual harassment and assault” while filming.

Court documents from the case reveal that Manzo is suing because the network would “regularly ply the Real Housewives cast with alcohol, cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.”

Glanville reportedly kissed Manzo several times without consent and the network did nothing about the issue.

In an interview with EW, Derek Smith, Manzo’s lawyer on the case, stated that “networks should always be concerned about the safety of their employees. The Housewives are not their pawns to abuse for ‘drama’ purposes.

Hollywood reeled in 2023. There’s no way around that. From striking creatives to the existential crisis of theatrical futures, this year held the entire entertainment industry in its death-like grasp. But as they say, when the going gets tough, the tough double down on the audience least likely to abandon ship. And anyone who’s actually sat and counted how many annual horror conventions there are knows exactly which audience to bet on.

It’s entirely possible that horror is the most stable and reliable movie genre, but just because its demographic is almost certainly the most voracious doesn’t mean they’re the least discerning. If anything, the list of films that almost made our top 10 would alone be ample ballast for the argument that horror aficionados cast their nets wider than fans of other genres. Take this list as a starting point, and then take it way further than you ever dared.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter is a supernatural horror film directed by André Øvredal from a screenplay by Bragi F. Schut Jr. and Zak Olkewicz. The film is based on a chapter titled “The Captain’s Log” from the 1897 book Dracula by Bram Stoker. The Lost Voyage of the Demeter follows the crew of a merchant ship named Demeter as Dracula picks them apart one by one.

The supernatural horror film stars Corey Hawkins (BlacKkKlansman) as Clemens, Javier Botet (Slender Man) as Conde Dracula, Aisling Franciosi (God’s Creatures) as Anna, Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones) as Captain Eliot, and David Dastmalchian (The Boogeyman) as Wojchek.

The Oscar-winning actress will lead the cast of Netflix drama, What/If, and the first teaser is very reminiscent of ABC's Revenge.

Given that the series comes from Revenge creator, Mike Kelley, there's a good chance this could be the deliciously soapy drama missing from our lives since that series went off the air. 

The series is set to premiere May 24, but the first teaser doesn't exactly shed much light on what it's about, aside from the fact that Zellweger's character will be pulling the strings.

Tyler Ross (The Killing), Derek Smith (Grey’s Anatomy), Nana Ghana (White Rabbit), Monique Kim (Looks That Kill) and Marissa Cuevas are set to recur on What/If, Netflix’s social thriller anthology drama series starring Renée Zellweger, Jane Levy and Blake Jenner, from Revenge and Swingtown creator Mike Kelley.

The series is written by Kelley, directed by Phillip Noyce and produced by Page Fright, Atlas Entertainment and Compari Entertainment in association with Warner Bros Television.

The anthology series, with Renee Zellweger heading the cast for its first run, will explore moral questions and the fallout when people start pushing the boundaries of acceptability. The first season revolves around a mysterious woman's lucrative but dubious offer to a cash-strapped newlywed couple in San Francisco.

Derek Smith, Nana Ghana, Monique Kim, Marissa Cuevas and Tyler Ross will all have recurring parts in the 10-episode series. Details about the characters they're playing are being kept quiet.

Joe Flanigan (Stargate: Atlantis) has joined the cast of Lifetime‘s pilot The Secret Lives Of Wives. The project, inspired by the book by Iris Krasnow, explores the unvarnished truth behind the marriages of four different women — Michelle (Kim Raver), Reed (Salli Richardson), Keaton (Amber Clayton) and Jessie (Lauren Bittner). Flanigan will play Reed’s husband Jared, unshaven and a shadow of his former self who has become passive and unresponsive to his marriage. He joins David Conrad, Callum Blue and newcomer Derek Smith who play the other women’s significant others.
