Ananda Jayaratne was born on 7 April 1930 in Noope, Matara District, Sri Lanka. He was an actor and director, known for Aadarayai Karunawai (1965), Saradiyelge Putha (1976) and Sandesaya (1960). He died on 26 June 1984.
