Liam Alex Heffron is an actor, writer and historian, known for his character of Police Officer Sean Doran in Ireland's most popular TV drama, 'Fair City' and starring as skeptical historian Finbarr O'Donnell in the award-winning 2023 movie, 'Prospect House'.
Liam has also guest-starred in the TV series 'Hardy Bucks' and 'Ros na Rún' as well as playing the charming con-artist Malcolm Funce, series-regular in the 'Breaking Hollywood' web series, which he co-wrote and produced with Andi Osho.
As a Ph.D. Historian he has worked as a content authenticity expert on several TV networks including RTE (The Battle for Rural Ireland) and BBC (Who Do You Think You Are?) as well as hosting several history programs and online documentaries. He has published 'No Revolution', which documents the War of Independence and Civil War in his home county of Mayo in Ireland.
Liam also is an award-winning, patent-holding inventor, having designed an early-warning toxic gas detection system which has been credited with saving farmers' lives.
