Franártur Duque Cano is a Colombian-Venezuelan Actor, Comedian, and Producer. He has worked for more than 18 years in the entertainment industry in Latin America and has experience in television, film, web series, streaming platforms, short films, commercials, and sketches, among others.
The artist lived his first years of life and academic training between Colombia and Venezuela. He graduated as a Social Communicator in the mention of Audiovisual Arts at the Andres Bello Catholic University.
He debuted as a live comedian in 2003, with "La Degeneración de Relevo" (Relay Degeneration), this was a group of comedians created by Laureano Márquez and Emilio Lovera, which influenced the culture of comedy and entertainment in Venezuela. From the beginning, he has been considered one of the first representatives of live absurd humor in Venezuela, which led him to make more than 100 presentations and hundreds of audiovisual productions.
Between the years 2004 and 2006, he was the Director and Scriptwriter of short films such as "Sordomudo" (Deaf-Mute), "Paramedicos" (Paramedics), "Miguel y El Fuego" (Miguel and the Fire), "Alarmanecer", "Activista La Flor" (Activist La Flor), "En 4", "Los Gaffer", "Amor Inflatable", "CucaTanaca in Tokyo" and "Rapicuy".
One of the most outstanding works of his career was "Butaquito", a character created by him in 2005 for the tv show "Vamos al cine", broadcasted in the open signal by the Venezuelan tv channel, Venevisión. This performance had a high impact on national television of Venezuela thanks to his style of hilarious and explosive comedy, in addition to the work of the performance, he was also the Director, and Scriptwriter of the program.
In 2008 he won the award as best actor at the "Atom Film Festival" thanks to his performance in the short film "Corta y Pega" (Cut and Paste), directed by José Andrés Martínez and Valerio Mendoza. For a few years, Franártur Duque was located in the city of Bogotá, where he participated in important productions for stations such as RCN, Caracol TV, City TV, Sony, Univisión, and others. He was also the scriptwriter of the second season of the tv show by Direct TV "Andrés López de Noche".
As an actor, the most outstanding works his has done are: "Narcos México", "¿Quien mató a Patricia Soler?" (Who Killed Patricia Soler?), "La Esquina del Diablo" (The Corner of the Devil), "Pambelé", "Sala de Urgencias 2" (Room of Urgencies 2), "El Comandante" (The Commander) ,"Paraíso Travel" (Paradise Travel) and as a comedian in the group "Backdoor".
Franártur Duque has had a high impact in the different roles he has worked within the audiovisual industry, always developing his well-known sense of humor in all of his characters. Nowadays, he is living in Ciudad de México, where he is focusing on developing other aspects of his career as a producer, comedian, and founder of his company Sircomedia Group©.
